If you can’t give a reasonable explanation for why this is a war games match, just make it a 5v5 tradition tag match. it’s a classic WWE match that stands the test of time. Right off the bat, this didn’t need to be a war games match. All of these women were feuding with their own teammates just several weeks ago. Especially with Nia taking the charge from the start, you already knew this was going to be plodding. The first half was sloppy and the shit with the toilet seat almost made me turn the show off. Thankfully Ripley, Stratton and Iyo saved it by the end.

The biggest problem of the match was that the team make ups made *zero* sense because there was *no* storyline behind it. - Liv, Nia and their respective goons had no reason to team up immediately after Crown Jewel when they were attacking and having matches against each other - Rhea had no reason to team with any woman on her team, especially Iyo since she is her main threat in beating Liv for the belt - Tiffy vs Rhea makes no sense after the massive positive reaction they got when they tagged on the recent Raw - Bayley, Bianca and Iyo were teamed with no resolution to their past conflicts (especially Bayley and Iyo who had one tiny interaction in the match) which is a dumb decision considering their history - Liv and Nia being thrown in and losing *again* cheapens their title runs and weakens them (especially since they've made Liv an absolute chickenshit heel which makes no sense based on her character before she won the belt) The entire match just felt like a random throw together of the top female stars with no story behind it aside from continuing the Rhea vs Liv angle and nearly the dozenth time they've teased Tiffy cashing in. It was a botch fest, and Iyo was the only solid performer (helped by the spots of the Stratton dive and Riptide off the cage). Compared to the story behind the men's match, it was an embarassment. That being said, the only good match of the night was the IC Triple Threat (which was incredible).

I think the fact that the women's war games teams didn't make any sense should have factored into the match. They had a chance to do something unique with the women: Tiffany should have cashed in on Nai during the match. They even teased it, having her bring the briefcase into the ring. That should have been it. Bayley and Io should have feuded as well as they had no reason not to hate each other. They just had that whole feud where Bayley was kicked out of Damage CTRL. Now they're on the same team at wargames with no problems at all? And there was no revelation as to who attacked Jade Cargil so that Bayley could replace her either. Damage CTRL have also been feuding with Bianca and Jade for the tag titles, but they were like best friends here. Liv and Nia had no reason to team up ether, aside from giving Tiffany a choice of who to cash in on during the match. And again... Tiffany should have cashed in. There should have been a lot more story going on to explain the group dynamics. Yet, nothing happened, aside from Rhea finally getting the riptide on Liv.

This match was very sloppy. At a lot of points, it was very obvious they were going through a choreographed spot at about 75% speed. Bailey, Bianca, and others are guilty of it, and it's so glaringly obvious when it happens. The chairshots were awful. While watching the match with friends, when Jax started trying to fan the other girls with the chair, I blurted out a very Corny-like "Lay that shit in! If you're not gonna use the fucking chair don't use the fucking chair!" I took Iyo's garbage can as that was something Iyo herself put under the ring. Hence why she knew exactly where it was, why it was painted, and why it had straps to help carry it to the top of the cage.

The two Wargames matches were both lack luster but in different ways. The women’s match was interesting in that it was unpredictable in terms of storytelling but, was sloppy as hell and rough to watch. The men’s was super obvious in storyline but, the match itself was fairly tight(the big moments were timed way better).

exactly...I saw people complain there wasn't enough weapons and I had to shake my head. The point of Wargames is to NOT have weapons. The cage is the weapon that you're trapped inside because it had a roof.

I don’t really like the wargames match since half of the match is not even official yet as you have to wait for all superstars to enter the ring. And then the match officially begins but so much time has already been spent that the pace becomes slow a lot of times during the match where the crowd becomes quiet. I want the survivor series elimination tag team matches matches back as long as it’s a babyface team vs heel team, and not stupid smackdown vs raw matches where babyfaces and heels have to team up. These matches are more exciting since anyone can be eliminated at any time

WarGames, Hell In A Cell & Elimination Chamber matches should be kept as speciality matches that happen every few years to end a major super hot feud, doing it every year for no real reason just diminishes the value of the structure, i also think that now that WWE has Wrestlemania on 2 nights they should do the Money In the Bank ladder match at Wrestlemania like how it was done initially, it doesnt need its own PLE
