Good stuff. I got the Braille lithium for mine and yes it starts quicker, is way lighter and I never have had a tender plugged into my bike. I do ride it all the time but it's sat without starting for 2 months and still no problem starting.

Lithium Ion is the way to go. I charged mine 2 years ago and haven't had to connect it to a tender yet. I have the anti-gravity batteries and they have the remote jump starter which allows me just in case jump start the battery without taking off the seat. I always tell people to get those lithium batteries and they will never be disappointed

I have been waiting for my gel battery in my American Iron Horse Texas Chopper to stop working and the AGM in My Independence Custom Freedom 240 and the factory battery in My Ultra Classic and I am glad I did. lithium batteries have come down a lot in price and Anti-Gravity Jump start is just flat out awesome.. plus I use a Unihertz Tank for a cell phone.. so i can use that to give my battery a little extra push if it needs it...with 22,000 mah in My phone thats almost twice whats in the pocket power 12,000 mah..

Thanks for this info, I found my bike dead and I had to buy a noco boost sport charger to get my bike to start and it started with no problem. This video was perfect because I will need to get a new battery one day because I don't know how long my current battery had been in the bike..So it must have been fate that you did a battery review. The weight cut is great, BUT Lithium batteries don't like cold weather even if it's on a 5amp tender 24/7 if you live in a warm climate year round good deal.

I understand your point of view.. if I may throw my 5 cents worth.. A nice set of decompression valves are not that exspensive and it also takes all the extra pressure that you passed from your battery to your starter.. as if it never existed.. my batteries last a lot longer and no matter how hot or cold out it always spins up .. and you can get them from Harley for about 50 bucks.. yes i know you still have to get them put in but well worth it..anyway good looking bike

The issue I have with lithium is yes they can have more cold crank amps but most of the time they have substantially less capacity. So if you sit with your radio playing and the bike off, it doesn't have as much juice in it overall. However on that note, you can also take a lithium all the way down to damn near nothing and recharge it without damaging the battery. I like the way anti gravity does it where it won't let you use more than the battery will allow and still be able to start the bike by hitting their "jump start" button...which is essentially a bypass button to let you have enough juice left to start the bike.

The agm battery last longer and is stronger for sterile systems plus when it starts to go bad the battery will warm you with slow crank overs. The lithium battery is lighter and cranks faster but when it goes bad it won't warm you , when it's done that's it

Don't get me wrong I think the weight reduction with the lithium batteries is great but if you run into an issue w/ the battery while on a trip and need to get back onto the road you're going to have to buy another battery. If you have to buy a battery is Advanbalck gonna warranty your batter and reimburse you for the battery you had to buy? Seems like in this case buying the HD lithium batter is a better idea.

Harley r whom ever ive never tried the lithiums yet but i have the Yuasa batteries and they r great and not sure of today but 15 25 years ago they was only like 2 maybe 3 battery manufacturers in the world and probably not to many today that’s what so funny about all with different names but made by same company

Great bike, I have the same one in the same colour. Is your front fender an advanblack hugger? Looking at a couple of their colour matched parts, but snake venom is unique. Have to make sure it’s pretty much spot on.

What you forgot to mention about the lithium battery from that company in general is if it did die you could cut your motorcycle in accessory mode let it sit for about a minute or two and it'll give it enough charge to where you can start the bike and let it charge while the bike's sitting idle but all in all they have some aftermarket tenders that have the ability to charge acid batteries and the lithium batteries they cost more but it's just a few buttons you push and you can change it over but I'm glad that they also seen you a charger for that battery which in general if it's still the same connectors at the bottom for the tender then all you need to do is just use the charger on the outside

I'm looking to get one for my 09 sportster 1200 custom it to takes CCA to start it iv been thru 3 AGM batterys during covid could not get a battery for it thru Harley davidson they were always back ordered from 2020 to 2022

The Lithium technology has issues. 1) They do not work well in cold temperatures. 2) if the voltage is too low, the onboard BMS will shut down charging, needing to be reset. 3) You need a Li battery charger with the capability to reset the battery BMS. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2bFkn-ap9qBsLcfeature=shared

Does the advantage black battery have an over voltage protection system built into it as stock harley rectifier regulator puts out over 14 volts to battery and this is to much voltage for a lithium ion battery if it does not have an over voltage protection system it will degrade the battery life
