Not a GOT fan either, but from people who watched the show and other commenters I think I have this right. On the left represents Tyrion son of the Lord Tywin. Next to him (smirking) is Joffrey the grandson who is a bit of a troublemaker. In the throne is Lord Tywin, from the House of Lannister, and on the right in leather (yum) is his son Jamie, the warrior who has lost his hand, presumably in battle. You’ll notice that Geoff didn’t use that one hand, which must’ve been very hard for him because he sings with his hands. The lyrics are about a rival, the House Reyne, a realm that tried to cheat the house of Lannister. At a wedding, the house of Lannister slaughtered that house. The lyrics “now the rains weep o’er the hall with no one left to hear” is because they’ve all been wiped out. The morph section I believe is supposed to represent the never ending struggle for power. From what I’ve been able to glean it is a saga full of treachery.

I really love the arrangement of this with the music picking up the pace in the middle, it's consistent with the Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djwadi's style and makes this that much more impressive to fans of the series.

Interrupting my watch at the 4 minute mark to comment on how much smiling Mason's little editorial remarks cause me. There was a time (not all that long ago) when we didn't know he existed, but now he's an important (and gleefully valued) part of your videos. He's hilarious and together with your hysterical over-the-top-ness (and you can take "hysterical" in multiple ways...) he makes these videos just flat-out FUN to watch. Thanks for allowing him to come out of his secret lair, Mortius! ETA: Before I restarted the video, I glanced at some of the other comments and I note that a LOT of us find your interactions with Mason to be a delightful part of your videos. So, HAH! I'm not the only one who stopped in mid-video to say so!

Dude... you'd think, that a tenor like Mortius isn't capable of projecting any kind of bass and perhaps even laugh at him because of that... but then he just STRAIGHT UP HITS A G0, 5TH SUB AT 9:45!!! HOW?!?! He's a beast!

Mason and you are both killing me with your interplay and educating at the same time😄 The whole middle section is Geoffs adding to the song, genious. And who is the most gorgeouslooking, Tyrion in harnesk, Joffrey smirking, Tywain on the throne or Jamie in leather? I gather not a nice guy any of them. I've never seen GoT.

Thank you for the early Patreon access to this reaction. One request: could you and Mason bring up the volume on the subject video a little bit? While I know this one quite well and didn't need to hear it to understand what you were reacting to, people who haven't heard Geoff's original might not catch the nuances of the harmonies with the volume so low. Thank you from the bottom of my ears ;)

Hey-hey! I guess watching these is seriously addictive. XD I love how you both point out interesting bits throughout *and* don't even try to pretend your mind's not blown. Anyway the thing here is, Geoff is playing four different characters, they are all family, though. And all of them can be really dangerous in their own right, with at least two being outright bad guys. And one having been a bad guy and then not so much anymore. Anyway, the menace is real, as it should be. XD ((It still amazes me how a guy as wholesome as Geoff can act out a baddie that well. First mr. Boogieman and now *these*?!? Wow.))

It's Geoff. Original song is immaterial. (Though I did go listen to it. It's a nice bass soloist. I like the version with four Geoffs better.) I've never watched GoT (too violent for me) but I've learned enough about it to appreciate the menace here. The reason there's no one to hear the rains fall on Castamere Hall is because they're all dead, killed by the characters singing this song. We've seen Geoff do serious and silly and sad and a whole bunch of other emotions, but here the menace is just ... ::fans self:: ... wow. Of course we expect his audio tracks to be awesome but he really raised his video editing game on this one.

Yes, they found the throne in a storage space (an empty store in the mall) that Pattycake shares with other tenants when VoicePlay was in there filming Good 4 U. They don't know who owns the throne or how it got to be there. They just borrowed it for this shoot.

I have to agree with @J. VanDenBerg the audio of the song was way too low. Too bad, I would have liked to have been able to watch this reaction. Turning up the volume to try and compensate for the low song audio made your voice (or any voice for that matter) way too loud for my ears to take. I like your reactions too much to hit the Dislike so I'll just not rate this reaction 🙂
