Prepare to leave your cardio and sanity behind! In Season 8 Episode 2 of MOAM Big Ron is admitted to The Iron Asylum - an old school, hardcore, no-bullshit warehouse gym located in Longview, Texas, USA.💪🏻
Existing as a Coca-Cola plant in 1932, this seriously massive US gym space boasts 22,000 square feet of sprawling weight racks and countless eclectic & hand-picked machines dedicated to the heaviest of lifting. Owner Mike Harrison does not know the exact number of equipment pieces, but it's a good sign that he's got 68 pieces of leg equipment alone.🧨🦵🏿
🤤Ron Partlow drools over some of Mike's more vintage machines which include a 40-year old MedX pin loaded press, a Cybex squat press, Hoist hack squat, Hammer H squat, and Body Master machines the likes of which Ron has never seen before.
Aside from the eclectic machines and walls on walls of dumbbell racks well into the 200's, the unique industrial gym also features a massive undercover outdoor area so you can train like a caveman when it's pouring buckets! We also want to know more about the "Big Booty Ho Room"🤣🍑

Just wanted to point something out, when Ron asks about the Medx Leg Press being made in the 80s and Mike responds "early 80s" Medx wasn't formed until the late 80s. In the early 80s, Arthur Jones was still with Nautilus and had yet to form Medx. The leg press in question was likely made at some point in the 90s, you can identify earlier production models by the unpainted aluminum upper weight stack. Medx still makes this exact same leg press today.
