Not just this song, but also Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes and Graceland -- Bakithi is the backbone of the whole album. He's the perfect accompaniment and counterpoint for Paul's sense of rhythm and the bridge to Black Mombazo. But in all these Hyde Park videos, for some reason, Bakithi gets about five seconds of screen time, total.

I would thank God for this music and for every other good thing in life ... if I believed in God. But I have never seen any evidence that any God exists, so I don't believe. People who believe in some God are always thanking God for anything good in life, but they never blame God for all the suffering in life. If you can provide any **real** evidence that any God exists, please do. But if you can't provide such evidence, please admit that your faith is **blind**, not based on evidence. That's all I ask. Looking forward to a response from you or any other believer.

1986 Great Woods, Graceland tour for me. If I am getting dates right, of course. Lol. We spent half the summer there seeing every band.

Worked on one of his documentaries of how the songs with came about... his on and off friendship with childhood friend Art Garfunkel. And how the South African band had to wade through the constraints of apartheid to record their songs. It's a documentary that deserves a Netflix Special cos it's an emotional roller-coaster type of documentary and tells you how great humans can be when we show a little love!

Some of the most outrageously happy music ever...played by some the finest musicians ever assembled...and yet Bakithi Kumalo (fretless bass) manages to steal the show! Wow!

I was at this gig and the place was absolutely rockin! Paul and the gang played their socks off and were clearly enjoying themselves. It was a real party and the crowd were amazing. We were even singing this on the tube train home...a memorable day indeed.

Paul Simon: there won't be another like him. I always love seeing people of all ages showing up to shows like this. Kids, teenagers, people who were born well before these songs were even written just having fun and join in on the whole experience. Music is timeless, it isn't limited to a specific timeframe or age group. It's there for anyone and everyone to enjoy.
