Fmajor on a guitar + high end fretboard E minor diminished I think? If thise chords are played with individual notes and funk centeic rhythm...I definitely hear a Primus sound. Especially if my guitar is D standard instead of E standard. (Full step drop tuning)

And I'll just respond now to people who may talk about the fact that Les play's bass (primarily at least, he's a beast on both guitars honestly). I can have a bass guitar player in my top guitarists if I like. Not that you can't talk shit. I love getting shit from Primus fans and people in general. Ok hear me out: before his forced retirement, Captain Pierce was one of the first responders on the scene of Jerry’s fatal drunk driving accident. One of the many things he taught young Les was never to drink and drive, because no matter how good you think you are, you aren’t that good. He told the story of a young race car driver, a literal race car driver, in graphic detail to prove his point to Les Claypool. Go out, have your fun, have a good time, but don’t fuck around. You gotta be careful out here, you can’t tempt fate because this is literally life and death shit. At least according to Captain Pierce. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
@jimbillyjenkims
@jimbillyjenkims 3 жыл бұрын
See, in my headcanon, Sgt pierce was indirectly responsible for Jerry's death. It stuck in his craw that they made him retire at the age of 65, so he was out drinking his sorrows away. Next verse, who do we have but our boi Jerry again having to much to drink and wrapping his car around a telephone pole. Jerry was drinking with pierce the night of his death!

I love how the song starts with a riff tipical to indonesian folk music... Really shows the polyculturalism and the inovation that this band helped to popularize

Primus = What's the most random shit we can still somehow make a song out of, yet still flows well + What's the weirdest sounds I can pull from this bass guitar that'll make the signature for the whole damn song. I love Primus. And Primus Sucks.

Saw them a couple times back in the day! The crowd jumped with the music the entire effing show! If u were in the middle u didnt actually NEED to jump cuz the people jumping around you was more than enough to get you off the ground. Amazing energy in their pits lol

Growing up, i only stuck to rap and hip hop, but when I first played Tony Hawk Pro Skater on the PS1, this and Superman really made me start listening to more rock, alt and metal to expand my taste in music. Man those were the days

I had way too much time on my hands at that time. I knew all of the characters specials and I usually got gold just by going to the half pipe or the two quarter pipes between the rails in the middle of the course. With enough air, you could even do a 900 followed by a kick flip for massive points.
