No it's not like it used to be. I was married almost 15 years and I couldn't stand him anymore more. I was trying to keep my sanity. I was at the point where I walk or physically hurt him. So I left. That's been over 21 years ago. I'm m with someone that I really love. Don't stay for your children or anything else.

The music video was directed by Steven Goldmann, and premiered on CMT Morning on March 26, 1998. The video consisted of Herndon singing while reading a book, as he turns the pages that are related to the song's lyrics, with photographs turning into video animation. At the end of the video, Herndon closes the book, and turns into an old man.
