I live in Waycross, Ga (well Daytona Beach, FL currently) and love to see others interested in crazy metal fab projects like me..I'm 35 and dont have the knowledge to build half the stuff you do but one day I'm gonna get the tools to do it so I can learn..I sold my 2nd banshee a couple months ago but still have a nice 85 Honda 350X that I constantly dream of restoring but have only done small jobs like race clutch installs and bearing carrier replacements so my skills are minimal..keep it up tho I'm learning by watching you!!

Loving this build!! You have an awesome gift of thinking outside the box, and your Fabrication skills are on point. Although I do have a suggestion, and I'm telling you this so that your less likely to be injured if an accident were to happen while riding Your Harness Bar is way too low. The Harness Bar needs to be no more than 10 degrees below the top of your Shoulders. The Shoulder Harnesses are designed to pull and hold you BACK into the seat, not to hold you down. Only the Lap belt should take most of the load of holding you down into the seat. Manufacturers such as Simpson, RJS, and Race Quip have diagrams and instructions on proper harness mounting positions and techniques. Keep doing what you do bro!!!

Of all the karts, buggy’s, crosskarts, I like this design the best. Light weight and plenty of HP. I’m looking forward to seeing which shocks you go with? Nice build!

I looked them up and something for an RZR should work. I’m not sure what your experience or level of knowledge is regarding shocks and spring rates is, but buying them now without knowing what the kart will weigh when completed filled with fuel , you, riding gear ect. I’m a big fan of sport bikes and suspension is extremely important and I’ve spent a few year researching and learning about it. Suspension is the key to going fast safely. I’m not trying to tell you what to do, not even in the slightest. We can learn from other people, right? The total weight of your kart with you and all fluids in it is very important. Once you get the kart completed, you can place a scale preferably under each tire. This will tell you what your approximate spring rates you will need. Each spring rate has a specific valving for compression and rebound. If you Change spring rates, valving must change. You can do small adjustments with the weight/viscosity of the shock oil. With you in the kart and all fluids, the kart should have what’s called “rider sag” and that should be between 20 to 35% of the total wheel travel. Some people will use the actual shock rod for measuring. To make it easy, say you have 100” of travel. With you in the kart, the suspension should sag 25”. That should give you plenty for hitting bumps, but you need travel for when your wheels fall into a hole or some other depression. Anyways, if I can be of any help understanding shocks, let me know. I’m not a pro, but I have spent a lot of time learning about it. Again, this might just be the best kart design out there. The guy in the comments who stated the CR engine doesn’t have a counter balance is correct, it will vibrate and could possible fatigue welds. One suggestion you might want to consider is getting a CR 250 flywheel. It will help with the vibration and it also allows the engine to spin-up faster...better acceleration.

Vasily Builds+ You wanna make sure the bar you will be attaching the harness to is as close to the holes in the seat where they go thru! I use to race sprint cars and once had the pin in my steering wheel break and the wheel came off mid corner, needless to say I went head on into the wall at roughly 60 and because the harness bar was located like you had this one here it allowed the seat to actually bend forward, was lucky because the steering shaft was only about an inch from my chest afterwards, when you put that bar just under the holes in the seat it doesn’t allow for any slack (yes even though they may seem right there is still room for slack if the bar and holes aren’t right by each other) and no give, it’s was amazing how much my aluminum racing seat gave in that situation, was pretty much the same seat u have here

Just a suggestion, get NHRA certification to build chassis. I like the look of your design, it's edgier then what others are putting out there. While staying simple and strong. I honestly think you should build a rail dragster, big block and a glide could get ya in to the 8.50 index with nos. Would be very John Milner.

The only thing I will say is the 500 Honda has no counter balancer so it vibrates really really bad in ATVs so idk about those motor mounts they might end up cracking later on

What are your plans for the controls? If you don't have a plan then I suggest doing something like Rather be Welding did for the grave ninja for the steering and clutch.
