Wow! I'm glad you filmed it. Otherwise, it would have been hard to believe somebody could be in that bad of a spot for recovery and be stuck. That will make for a good story for years to come! Also, kudos to you for being so dedicated and working so hard to get them out. Your 'No man left behind' mentality' doesn't grow on trees. I'm in the Orlando/ Ocala area. Hopefully, I won't need it. But if I'm ever in a jam, I saved your phone number.

A tough situation all around, but also a testament to what these vehicles are capable of, both of them drove away. From the looks of things, both of them weren't stock either, good quality mods are important. Matt, seen your video regarding mods on yours, but wondering if you have an aftermarket driveline? With the amount of lift i would think so.

What about that 600ft rope you used for the swamp buggy? Going to write my questions as I watch the video, and post once. I love this stuff. Surprised you dont have a snorkel . 2Hours!! Damn! YOu need the guy that hunts for the 20ft python and plays with the swap puppies, (Gators for thise who have seen his shorts). Going to bet at this point, 8min in to the video it will be almost daylight by the time you all get out.. At least they had a wench and it was a gladiator,, could have been worse. Good time for the kids to clean the jeep, you go wheelin you have to help clean afterwards. I sure hope they had a Treager cooking bbq back at home.....good video

Went out to check our hog trap in Cocoa and just as we pulled up it started pouring rain. Next thing we knew the grass plains we were on was covered in water. Nothing to winch off of. As we were walking out we met another hunter and he offered to pull us out. He got stuck coming to us so we called a friend with a big tire 4x4. They came out and got the jeep unstuck but got stuck pulling us out. The next 6 hours were spent leap frogging each other with everyone getting stuck multiple times. Oh yeah, it never stopped raining. End of the night found us all out of mud but covered in it with some damage to all three vehicles. My worst stuck story.

man oh man that was a rough one i can see why most would have turned it down but so far you seem to take all that call and you somehow make it work. I couldn't be in the business you are in i am in southeast alabama red clay mud is what we mostly see. most of the ones i help try to turn around in the media between the new 4 land road they put in a few years ago people still want to turn around where there isn't a turn around. haven't pulled anyone in about a month fixing to re do my truck its a 1994 Ram 2500 4WD 5SPD installing a short boom in the back have 2 of the warn 8274 for the front pull and 8274 for rear pull. will use a harbor freight apex for the boom winch and have 2 warn 8,000lbs for side pull probably will never have a need for what i am doing but will have it any way and should be able to do most recoveries. i only have rope on the apex the rest is wire rope. on the 8274's have 150 ft of 3/8 wire rope for each of them. i think they will hold that much and have to install the new upgraded 6HP motors for them

Those people in the little jeep made some poor choices. Driving around aquatic floating plants and thru flag ponds is bad plan. If you had not gotten them out they would be paying for a swamp buggy to come get them out of that mess. Nice recovery, seems those Mickey Thompson tires pull pretty good in that swampy mud.

Damn. Being a city kid, born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I just can’t imagine the kind of vehicle. I would need to be doing that type of driving to drive in those type of conditions and elements. that Jeep Gladiator is an amazing ass vehicle if you asked me.. FYI, I was stationed in Pensacola for about half a year, but I never saw anything like what I’m seeing in this video. I wouldn’t know what to do. Lol. Plus, there’s alligators lol. Hell naw!!

man this just like the time I sunk my jeep in the middle of a giant field that had like 4 inchs of flood water on it to help my friend who got his bronco stuck on the other side. ended up having to combine a bunch of cables to over a thousand feet of cable and had 2 f350s chained together to pull me out
@matt.mckinzie
@matt.mckinzie Жыл бұрын
If we had known the conditions we would have brought a thousand feet of rope. We have it in the shop But this was out of town 3 hours from us Also we had to dodge deep spots deeper then the jeep so a straight pull out might not have been the best option Both ways in and out We hit spots where we couldn’t open a door on our jeep and had to rerig and do a side pull to move us over out of the hole before continuing forward
