Hey man I'm with DO YOU!!!it's your build. I have a 2021 1794 that I haven't done anything yet except I put on the Tyger side step and bull nose. I'm thinking about just leveling the front with the back of my truck.

Beautiful truck. 😍 I'm hoping to get a new set of wheels and tires this summer. I'm thinking about a black and red finish in 18" with a 35" AT or MT. Great video

Thanks a lot, man. I appreciate that. Have fun with creating your wheel and tire set-up. 18's wrapped in 35s will look good!!! If your truck is on pavement 90% of the time, I'd suggest going with an AT. ATs ride better, make much less noise, and they come with warranties (there are no warranties for MTs).

@@toyotaFANatic81 I would say most of the time on pavement. I work construction so jobsites are a bit off road sometimes and we go camping a few times a year. I'll stay with the AT thx for your info 👍

Very informative! One thing I've seem notice that the greater the negative off set, the harder the wheels are to balance - or maybe that's just my bad luck, I don't know. So I normally stick with a positive off set wheel.
@toyotaFANatic81
@toyotaFANatic81 10 ай бұрын
You're right. It's tougher to balance a negative offset wheel. It also has to be done more often. I just put up with it because I like the look AND because it doesn't really change the functionality of my truck. Thanks for checking out the video!

@@toyotaFANatic81 bro, is it bad to use your current wheels during the winter? Noticed you had your winter set up. I am on true east coast, not crazy snow.
@toyotaFANatic81

A lot of guys run their aftermarket wheels in the winter. I want to keep my aftermarket wheels nice, so I bag them for the winter. More importantly, I like to keep my family and myself safe on the road, so I run winter tires in the winter, and those tires happen to be on my factory wheels.

@@toyotaFANatic81 interesting. I had it backwards thinking the 35 Toyo’s were more suited for the winter snow, smh. Appreciate it man!
@toyotaFANatic81
@toyotaFANatic81 10 ай бұрын
Well, there are different Toyos available. Some Toyos are summer tires, some are hybrids, some are winter tires, so it depends on which specific set of Toyos you are talking about. I do know that the worst winter tire is far better on snow and ice than the best hybrid or summer tire. I don't concern myself with how the truck looks in the winter. I just want to keep it out of the ditch. My studded winter tires are excellent. In my case, both my hybrids and my winter tires are Cooper brand. Hybrids: AT3 XLT Winter: Snow Claws

I’m a bit late to this video, but I have a question regarding your offset. I have a 2020 limited tundra as well with a 3.5” lift kit. I’m looking at 20”x 10” wheels with a -12mm offset. I’m a little worried that I will not get the amount of poke that I want/looking for. Also my current garage recommends not going above a -12mm…I’m just really confused about how to get the look I want. Thanks for trying to help me out hahah, great videos!
@toyotaFANatic81

Thanks for checking out the video. My wheel dimensions are mentioned in the video: 20"×10", -24 mm offset. The Tundras come with such a large positive offset from the factory that just about any wheel with a 0mm offset or less will create some wheel poke. In your case, a -12 mm offset will probably give you between one and two inches of wheel poke. If you want more poke than that, consider -18" or - 20". You can also go to wheel websites (like Custom Offsets) to see trucks with wheels of various offsets.

Love the gray tundra man!! I am looking at 2014 crewmax 4x4 myself. It has 165k with 3 owners and has been owned in south AL since ‘14. Everything looks good on the report. Just wondering if there is anything I need to be aware? Any suggestions would be gladly appreciated.

Hey, man! Thanks for checking out the video. One of the biggest things I can tell you is to make sure that EVERYTHING works on the truck before you buy it. DO NOT trust the dealership's 180-point inspection. Check EVERYTHING - cruise control, blind spot monitoring, park assist sensors, LSD function, Tow/Haul Mode, mirror functions, etc. Check under the hood and make sure that everything is intact and bolted down. I found a few things wrong with my Tundra that the technicians at the dealership could have easily addressed, but chose not to. If all seems good, then I'd say enjoy your truck. Tundras are GREAT trucks and they're fairly easy to maintain.

Thanks for checking out the channel. At the moment, I put out a video every 2 or 3 months. That's not ideal, but my life and my work keep me pretty busy. Luckily for you, there are already quite a few D-I-Y and modification videos (on this channel) to go through. It might take you a few days to run through all of them. Congratulations on the new Tundra purchase. You're going to LOVE that truck!!!!
