Im 63, just bought an e-mtb (giant fully), first ebike in my life. Its not because of the age but you can drive longer and more often in the mountains. In my case, Alps (Austria!!❤) and low mountain ranges in Germany. I LOVE it!!!😊

This is a beautiful film and a beautiful tribute to your grandfather. Even though we are miles and years apart, I know his joy. I also started cycling late in life. It has saved me from my demons. Дед не гонщик и не гонялся на проффесиональном уровне,просто любитель.Мне77+и я получаю удовольствие от вело, раньше участвовал в соревнованиях в более менее серьезных соревнованиях,а сейчас не представляю жизнь без тренировок,живу в своем доме за городом и всё располагает к тренировкам на шоссе.За сезон обычно накатываю 3 т.,но сильно зависит от погоды.Средняя скорость 26 км/час на дистанции 50 км с градиентами до 12%. ИМТ 19.

Wonderful documentary. Truly and inspiration. I'm turning 70 this year. Since retirement I am riding more than ever (strictly road). I won't brag about my milage. Only to say I am gone most of the day when I ride. I can only hope to make it to 90 let alone still be riding. Cheers to all us old folks who are still in the saddle!!!

My great grand mother cycled until she was 94. Wonderful woman. Fled Hungary after her husband murdered due to being Jewish. Came to USA with six kids by herself. Her favorite motto Don’t Be Humble You Are Not That Great. Just be yourself and help all people

My Italian/French father is turning 90 and has been an avid cyclist as long I can remember. Your grandfather reminded me of him and so I forwarded your doc to him. Although he immigrated to Canada when he was 25, he has family in Italy and France and has visited often; it is where his heart is. I cycled all my life. I'm 64 this year and started when I was 4. Tip from my dad is never to sell your bicycle. It's just a great pity that cycling is becoming a dangerous sport with all the unconscious drivers on our roads. Praise our Lord for the health to keep doing what I treasure most. If you ever decide to discuss the how-to's behind filming this, I'd be more interested in finding out what went on in preproduction and the timing of filming each scene (ie. shooting after/before the interviews, spontaneous shooting of the family gathering, b-roll to add to the story, etc.). Sir, I am 1/2 your age and had my biggest smash in TT this past summer. Too close to death than I care to be. My closest want me to stop. I wonder what his average speed is now. Just think, in a few years he could try to beat the hour record for 100 years old and above category. I'm 70, have been cycling for about 50 years, and I love it for all the same reasons your grandfather expressed, but weather where I live keeps me off the bike for 5 months out of the year, and then I have to go indoor riding and it's so boring.

A brilliant short film … thanks, I really enjoyed this story. I still have the Italian Torpado bicycle that I received on my 16th birthday and that bike celebrated its 50th birthday last May. I retired a few years ago and took up cycling again with a new carbon endurance bike. Your grandpa is a great inspiration for me, on and off the bike … merci and bravo Benjamin! 🚴‍♂️🙂

I was sort of hoping for an interview with his son when he was talking about cycling. Though you may push the timing for what you wanted. Could probably easily make this into a feature.

Franchement bluffant! Je te suis depuis 2020 lorsque j’ai acheté ma BMPCC4K. J’ai toujours trouvé que tu avais une touche supérieure des autres KZbinrs pour ton visuel. Tes couleurs, tes compositions toujours top notch. J’avais aucun doute que tu savais travailler les images et j’attendais ce moment avec impatience où j’aurais la chance de voir ce que tu livrerais au niveau narratif. Je dois avouer que je n’ai pas été déçu du tout! Ça a même surpassé mes attentes. Super boulot et j’espère en voir plus et que ce court métrage te débloquera des portes pour poursuivre sur ta belle lancée! Franchement bravo!
