I'd like to see a part 2! I learned about other brands thanks to you!! I have a Layback longboard. I am a beginner so the Layback brand is my first board. So far, I've had a pleasant experience!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on Pantheon boards. I've heard nothing but praise about them online but I haven't found a good review in video format yet.

If you're thinking about getting one, get it. They're really good quality boards. The owner has basically kept the same designs for a while now but over time he's tweaked them to absolute perfection. Super good for LDP or just cruising

I have only had experience with Landyatchz boards(First board I had was a 35”switch dropdown 2016, then I got the dinghy Bk in March last year and recently bought a dinghy hibiscus)and I’ve seen other companies that look cool like pantheon and the loaded series but honestly I can’t find other companies with cool graphics or styles of birds that are as nice as landyatchz,yes ik I’m biased but still

@@santiagopeschiera1743 hey friend! I got the Drop Cat 33 Journey. And it’s amazing! Supper durable, great quality, and it’s a smooth ride, it doesn’t throw me when there are big cracks, or small stones, which is awesome, and it’s FAST. It’s actually my favorite now for commuting longer distances.

My buddy has a sector 9 drop through, it's actually really nice. Came with gullwing chargers for trucks. Bearings were crappy all metal abec 5s. Wheels are nice sector 9 65mm 78a cruisers. I traded him my 97mm wheels with amphetamine hybrid bearings and he loves it! I really just wanted his smaller blue wheels to match my cruiser board lol. I don't know how relevant butterballs are now but they used to be the popular wheels for sliding 10 years ago.

Oh, and I have 2 Arbor boards. I think they're beautiful. Decently high end for all the materials. I have the Pocket Rocket and the Fish. The Pocket Rocket, a cruiser, is just a downgrade on a Dinghy for the same price... plus the Dinghy has a million iterations to accommodate individual rider preference. That being said, I got the Keller/Bamboo version and it has to be one of my favourite boards aesthetically. The Fish is a pintail... so you're already a little limited in terms to what you're doing on it... but it has a little flex so you can get a pump... you can go down mellow hills... I dunno. I actually really love it for what it is. I commute about 15km on it most days on quiet city roads, quiet sidewalks and paths. Just in general off these 2, I've had better experiences with Landyachtz and worse experiences with Sector9 and any of the small Amazon-y brands... though I really love this years minimalist wave collab Sector9 did and almost got that just based off aesthetics. Edit: Also, I think Arbor seems to work with a lot of high end material, like I mentioned and they love to advertise... but they do seem like they've pulled back on the skating front of things. They were much more active with innovations like 7 years ago... and since have kinda simplified their base models and just started selling higher end things to base level skaters.

thanks for your insights, I don't know a whole lot about arbor so it's nice hearing from someone with a little experience! as for my backdrop, thank you haha! its quite a messy spot but there are definitely lots of nice wood pieces around :)

Hello 👋 I am looking for the longboard for my son. He is a college student and need one to ride to school and on the campus. He is a beginner, 6’4” tall, shoes size 14. I have no idea what to look for. Many people told me he needs a 40+ length for his size. I was on the Landyachtz website and I saw BIG DIPPER MOUNTAIN. What do you think? Anything else you can recommend?

I stopped the video after the Landyachtz brand was given the S Tier to say that I have owned Loaded, Landyachtz and Sector 9 longboards and I have to agree that Landyachtz quality and pricing are unmatched. I also agree that sector 9 is overpriced and quality control is subpar. Had a defective gullwing truck and Sector 9 ignored my online inquiries twice. I put a set of compound trucks with better bearings on for an additional $64 and it's fine but will never go with them again.

Recently purchased an Ehlers LRV2 double drop (deck only). Any thoughts? Tier?
@OgdenSikel3 жыл бұрын
Just the deck? Hmm well I'd probably give it a B ranking, but my personal ranking would be a C or D just because I don't really like double drops. Make sure you get high quality hardware for the deck (name-brand trucks, bearings, and wheels!) otherwise its not gonna be nearly as good
@stuartoliphant75513 жыл бұрын
@@OgdenSikel Thanks for the advice. It was kind of an itch I needed to scratch. The LRV2 looks very similar to the Landyachtz Sitchblade 40, but $50 cheaper. Years of running and cycling have taken its toll on my knees; I'm hoping a lowered deck is faster and more ergonomic. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
@santiagopeschiera17432 жыл бұрын
@@stuartoliphant7551 They come with Bear trucks too, if I'm not mistaken. Looks like a slick downhill board. I like the look. I'll definitely get one like that eventually, for speed. To your point though, you would appreciate a board with way more flex, for your knees. A drop-through or maybe even pintail. It will feel odd at first, but it's like having suspension and feels great for flowy carving. They're not as fast as DH boards, but they'll still be faster than everything else. I'm not sure about the other brands, but Landyachtz's page has a flex scale which comes in handy. I also think of my knees lol.
