It’s not even that. We were spoiled for season 1 so it’s natural to notice some of the differences since then. To me it doesn’t look too bad compared to other shows, but I do think it looks a little lackluster compared to what we got in season 1. Still hopeful though 🙏🏾

For those who don't know, even though season 1 and season 2 were from different studios but they were made by the same animator team but season 2 has more animators than season 1 The reason season 2's animation isn't as good as season 1 is because they didn't put as much thought into it as they did in season 1 Same series compositon (Tomohiro Suzuki) Same Art Director (Shigemi Ikeda, Yukiko Maruyama) ETC... The entire reason for why season 1 was as mindblowing as it was, was because of its director, Shingo Natsume. He's got connections across the industry, and brought in pretty much an all-stars team of freelancers to elevate the season above and beyond. That was the key resource that JC Staff didn't have access to while making season 2. Granted... JC Staff aren't / weren't as experienced with high-intensity action series in general, which shows, but it was Natsume's personal investment in the project that made the biggest difference It's a good thing that they don't have Kodansha as a producer because they will be rushed Kodansha is known as a bad producer because they are the problem that makes Attack On Titan Season 4 not as good as previous seasons

Some of yall forgetting that season 1's director was friends with nearly all the big name animators in Japan like keichiro watanabe, arifumi imai, toshiyuki sato, and the GOAT himself Yutaka nakamura, so season 1 of One punch man was pretty legendary. Then there was JC staff for season2, the staff got a pretty tight schedule. Mostly all of the big name animators did not work on season 2 so the main animator of season 2 Keichiro aoki had to do a sunghoo park and work overtime to create all of the good cuts in season 2 but that was pretty undermined by the limited animation, stiff movements, and the compositing. So if Jc staff got a much healthier schedule, and still have keichiro aoki working, it will be an improvement. ( yap session over.)

​@@julzdot Literally almost every panel of every fight in the manga is absolutely insane. Season 1 didn't even fully live up to the sheer skill Murata has as a manga artist. I kid you not, if season 1 actually fully encapsulated the detail of the manga, opm season 1 would've been regarded as the best piece of animation to date. Murata has some of the most breath taking artwork, especially when comparing to other series like chainsaw man and jjk, which is why he's is regarded by many to be one of the greatest mangaka in terms of art. I honestly kinda find it unfair that OPM doesn't get more help for animation. I'm not saying that JJK or Chainsaw man didn't deserve such massive studios, but its far more reasonable to suggest that OPM deserves at least the same amount of man power to adapt. ​To me, Murata and One, the author, really do deserve a massive studio to adapt OPM, because it's a crime to see one of the most beautifully drawn mangas to be adapted poorly, or just mediocre. I trust that J.C staff will do a better job this time, but I really do hope that the series is rewarded with an even better production team for season 4, because some of the later fights in the Monster Association Arc, ESSPECIALLY THE FINAL ONE, are just mind melting.

I really dont mind JC Staff picking it up, Was hoping for Sunghoo to pick it up after left Mappa but Ninja Kamui is worth 100% of their attention… But honestly S2 wasnt bad just wasnt nearly as good as S1, But with Season under their belt maybe JC Staff will step it up but ngl after what 4 or 5 years?
