Make sure you add a K&N air filter and a Borla muffler. This will increase your hp, torque and mpg by 12%. I did it to our Outback. It costs about $400 and is worth every penny. These modifications will pay for themselves in a year. Have fun with your new Wilderness. Btw we bought the Autumn Green as well.

@@Doc1855 thanks for the tips! Will definitely be adding the air filter. As for the Borla muffler, I have never looked into that. Is it much louder? I don’t mind a nice rumble but definitely nothing too loud or obnoxious especially being CVT.

True, but the statistics say when driving your NOT to floor the gas, it was made to dispurse the weight on that particular wheel which has the most torch. In my OPINION the driver was to much in a rush in climbing the hill and driving in the mud. I had no problem driving in that deep of snow in the Blue Mts. Again my opinion

Just waiting to pick up our OBW...so very excited. I was surprised though that when you were stuck in the snow and the front wheels were spinning, that the rear wheels did not seem to engage as much as I thought they should. What's up with that?
@theadfcrew14312 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome! And honestly in this situation the car didn’t even want to spin any of the tires if the outback had a normal transmission it wouldn’t of had any issue spinning all of the tires. But since it has a CVT it acts like it has no power when it isn’t moving and your tires have a lot of traction

You probably could have got it out with a buddy bouncing on the back. I never saw a need for a remote throttle system, but that could work here if by yourself. Also that is the proximity sensor on the real gate...it's behind the subaru logo and you probably had your ass over near it when shoveling, you turn it off on the switch by the hatch open button.

I've done 4 feet of powder snow in a Subaru. I was like a mole as the snow was over the hood and parting at the windshield. I felt unstoppable until I bottomed out on a 10 inch ice bar, and the magic was gone. I rocked it off and was back in business. Bottoming out will do it every time. But having good AWD brings the kid giggles out. Here is one "Subie pulls the 4Runner" kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZK1mWBnmcyHnrs

Still never understood why people think slippery plastic is going to help them get unstuck. If they were pliable rubber of the exact same design, like made of tire type material, you'd get right out, however, thatd cost more, this is possible, just not the best design at all
