Who cares if a DA reads during her opening statement. This is a courtroom, not a theater.

Is this a school project or a trial? Who reads opening statements? I came here to see an open statement instead I found this. Thought I’ve seen in all in the courtroom. And that mask was NOT necessary lady. Wow 😳
@maryb66723 жыл бұрын
Everyone complaining about the opening needs to understand something.. Trials like this are often given to inexperienced prosecutors. Why? Because it’s a slam dunk case. It’s perfect training grounds for prosecutors that lack trial exp. Keep in mind, trials are actually a rarity. By far the vast majority of all convictions are the result of pleas. So, a slam dunk murder trial= inexperienced prosecutor. Another few trials under her belt & we won’t see her reading opening statements.

This is a dangerous opening. Yes she does a good job of taking abd reading but if you have no passion when you do it, no conveyed interest in the facts of your case, why would or should the jury care?? Not saying she should have gotten up there angrily but there is a way to form the opening to make it persuasive, to give it a story like quality to capture the jury's attention
@fridazzy387110 ай бұрын
Is it the style of prosecutions DA you are not good with? ‘Dangerous opening’? It is not a theatre, even though it seems like that some time. I like her. Perhaps she is not very experienced.
