U really did well Sisiyemi knowing that u are not Igbo. Next time try with palm kernel u will get a different taste

Great job sisi Yemi! Your recipe is easy to follow, I tried it. But when it was time to prepare the cocoyam I had no idea, I was busy taking the peels off. Thank God my mom was there to save me😂, I boiled them at her advice and the peels came off so easy afterwards. But my hands scratch me no be small😂. Very happy to have successfully cooked a yummy oha soup💃

I just learnt that Ogiri (locust beans) is also known as Iru in Yoruba culinary and Dadawa in Hausa culinary.

Hmm. Just tasted this soup for the first time last night and i decided to check out the recipe. I'll try it out next weekend but i think I'll slice my Oha leaf. I' wasn't sure i liked the leaf taking over my soup. LOool. Thank You Sisi Yemi

We Fula’s in The Gambia 🇬🇲 and fulas in guinea Conakry boil the cocoa yam and then blend pepper and maggi and eat it. It’s the bomb

Haaaa sisi yemi I just cook this for the first time today which I followed this steps it was really sweet but my tongue are out now cos I use exact 8ps of yellow pepper used in dis video and it came out ova peppery but is baddd o bad gannnn lol too sweet

Aunty Sisiyemmie, not fair to us living outside Lagos oh. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I live in USA and it's hard to get all the necessary ingredients to make oha soup. Only egusi, ogbono and tomato stew is all I make and it's becoming boring. I MISS LAGOS no be small. Lol. I am a big fan Sha. God bless you for your videos.

But question what is ogiri and what is it for? I know my mum uses achi to thicken but i sure will try the coco yam.

treasure afolabi Ogiri is a traditional seasoning made from fermented melon seeds. Used for seasoning soups even b4 the advent of seasoning cubes. It's smells like ughhhh🤤🤤 but tastes good. It's more popular in Anambra/Enugu areas and Yoruba land have theirs too.

Aww Sisi, pele. I hope you're feeling better. Ogiri is the stuff sha 😂😂. You could use semo to thicken too, and it still tastes really good!

The real oha soup you don't cover the pot after adding your coco yam (ede) the pot remains open till the soup is done , but apart from that you did it well, for not being an Igbo , anyway nowadays with KZbin we learn how to do anything we want
