I can't get over Kuina's death. It's completely unrealistic in One Piece that a character could die by merely falling down the stairs, come on now. Pell can survive a point blank nuke, but Kuina can't take a fall? Will never sit right with me. I need a better explanation for her death, otherwise Usopp would have died 3000 times already from the hits he took pre time skip alone

So, to the best of our knowledge she fell from the stairs and died. In the meantime everyone else gets completely smashed and demolished all the time, and they just apply bandage and they are fine and good to go.

I think Big Mom is still alive for one reason: Zeus is still alive. He was made from a piece of her soul, so if she died wouldn't he as well? I can imagine Big Mom and Kaido crawling out of their hole and showing up for the climax of the series. Zeus isn't a homie or soul anymore, through some extremely coincidental circumstance he's just fused to the Clima Takt now. Big Mom ordered Hera to consume Zeus's soul to get his power for her own, and when Zeus becomes merged with the Takt, Hera did get a power boost from him. We don't know the exact circumstances of how this works but we can assume Zeus won't disappear in the event of Big Mom's death now, and we haven't seen Prometheus, Napoleon or Hera since to go off of either
