I am happy I finally found you. You are so generous with all your explanations and advices. I do not look to others paintings no more, it only use to mix me up. I appreciate the sense of humour a lot. Pease excuse my errors because I am a French lady from Quebec Canada. I am 78 years young, so happy I started again to paint after 26 years. Thank you so much Chris....

I Disagree with Siri!! I would love a video about not over-blending with oils. It’s my main problem with being overly perfectionist with photorealistic paintings - the desire to “strike for perfect smooth skin ” when I should be embracing the “it really is just a paint so let it be it.”

Good to know! It is a big problem I see in a lot of work.

Very informational! I've started out doing more oil painting and I still find mixing colours very hard, even knowing the color wheel and all. But I just cannot apply it correctly. Most of the time I end up with mud... I've seen the past color mixing episode but I'd like some more explaining how to determine which colours to add based on the color wheel. Great video's and great sense of humour!

I’ve been trying to complete a self portrait, but I can’t seem to get the likeness there. I’ve traced an outline, even, to try and get it as accurate as possible. Somehow it just doesn’t look right every time. If you haven’t done it yet, I would love a video on capturing likeness in portraits!

Iove your videos they are really helpful!! 💓I’m wondering if you can make a video about the ratio of paint and medium (for example linseed oil) for the right thickness of the painting. Sometimes I use too much oil and too little paint for the floweriness it’s really confusing how much paint and medium should be used .

I think I go to fast and mess up my colours. So do you generally create and mix the colours you're going to put down before you start painting, or do you do it while you're painting? Thanks :)
