yes. skinner hasnt come close. they arent getting anywhere without someone decent between the pipes. is Calvin that guy? Who knows. but i believe hes their only hope. Oilers dominated game 3, and if they had even a middle of the road tendy, it wouldnt have even been close.

How many times have we seen backups step in and absolutely dominate? Well, its happening right now with their opponent, the Canucks. I am sorry Gino, did you not see McDavid in game 3? He was everywhere, so many chances he generated. Leon's post was McDavid's pass to Leon. Not his fault, that his teams didn't finish is "assists". Except for game 1, he has been the best player along with Leon. But Where are the other 3 lines, where is the defending?, where is goaltending? The only reason OILERS are 2-1 and not 3-0 is because of that line. They need either depth scoring, or defense, or goaltending. and Vancouver has everything.

It's hard to watch Stu Skinner's potential and near fall from grace. Tragically, the playoff sample size conclusively shows Skinner is a 747 Jumbo Jet. He's big, slow, not agile, can go the distance but needs 5000 ft. of run-way to function adequately as an NHL goalie. What every NHL playoff team needs is an air craft carrier fighter jet that only needs 300 ft. run-way and moves at Mach 10. The hockey world has now seen with their own eyes Exhibit A...the evidence overwhelmingly proves that Skinner is a regular season 747 and not a playoff fighter jet.

It was mega stupid imo of Knob not to give Pickard more starts all season long, and VS LA. This was 100% foreseeable, since I wrote of this in Oct! If Pickard plays bad, then he's no worse then Skinner, but he is the better of the 2 in every way other then rebound control. Pickard may well save this series.

They have to start scoring 5 v 5 and get points from all the other forwards. I'm talking to you, Nuge, Hyman, McLeod, Foegele, Ryan, Kane, Perry... like, COME ON. McDavid and Draisaitl playing 30 minutes/game is unsustainable. Not worried about Pickard at all, and I can't see him letting in more than 2 tonight. If he's hot, we've got this series.
