Yeah, considering that this is going to be on for subsequent Christmases etc and it's you know populism on some level, it didn't make much sense to do anything too technical... But the tune itself, that section with the f major to minor thing, it does lend itself to some pretty interesting conventional Bebop playing...

Wow, that was great. I don't know if you get WZUM FM radio out west but over here on the east coast it's playing jazz all the time. Now it has all jazz Christmas music playing. You never know what might tickle someone's fancy and they might here this and check your other music out. Your channel is really looking impressive with lessons, albums, comedy and we're anxiously awaiting the release of the collaboration. I'm sure it will be great! Thank you for the song it's great.

Yeah, I wasn't going to do this, it was a spur of the moment decision, I actually wrote the entire head section just didn't like 10 minutes and then sat and practiced it for a while.... Everything else was just completely made up on the spot. But it does have that kind of quality of being listenable in a popular sense perhaps, maybe, Metro....

Thnx, that's the general idea... Pretty much all of my influences and favorite players are people like that, they're kind of known but you know it goes with trends and popularity.... I keep thinking about ways to incorporate the newer things but, when you really analyze what's happening... nothing new is actually going on... And then I just go back to the way I was before, lol.

This is cool! You're going to think I'm nuts and I'm afraid you might consider this an insult which is not at all but a compliment but at this tempo along with your playing speed and phrasing, I actually like this pace. I like your other compositions too that are fast paced but this was refreshing and relaxing to my ears. Sometimes it is good to roll it back a little bit and you nailed this song. Speaking of nailing, underneath your guitar pickup, I couldn't help but to notice that Frosty the Snowman was looking a little bit too happy at staring at that reindeer's ass. I think he was thinking about nailing and giving the reindeer a tall cold one. Lol!
