I played destiny in alpha and beta. This style of game just isn't out there. I don't play a lot of raids anymore and just do casual stuff now. Really enjoying the current expansion and keep planning on playing till they turn the servers off

Call of Duty Zombies is the experience that got me into playing Destiny, so I would definitely watch those videos. As far as your channel goes, I would recommend starting a new channel rather than trying to switch content because then if Destiny picks up again, KZbin will have already put you low in the algorithm, and it's like having to rebuild your channel three times.

I'm sorta the opposite lol. Doing the raids in Destiny made me want to go back and actually attempt all the easter eggs when I was younger. That's what I'm think too with the channel. If I do try switch things up I might to a couple test videos on here to see how they do. Part of me is very curious to post a borderlands video to see how many views it can get because of the older times.

Bungie broke from Activision-Blizzard and their monetization and management somehow got worse instead of better. Anyone holding out long-term hope after that was deluding themselves.

We won't be getting a Destiny three for years. We have to wait until Marathon is going. Im not interested in extraction shooters but I hope it does well. I wouldn't mind Destiny having some games in different genres. Best feeling shooter out there and I think it can also be big in other genres too if given a chance. We can't get enough new players in now and I think once this is sorted out they should try again. If we get a new one I think it would have to change so much to grab new players attention.Even if we got a Destiny three there's the risk if at that time they have the same higher ups we could have a rough first year again. I will definitely play it but we need new players. Casual players are what keeps the game going. Raids and dungeons are nice but crucibe, strikes, and even gambit are the things that need more attention. If they are going smaller then I would like to see some more time put into those modes for a little while .There's a tone of solo players in the game too. Now days people find it hard to get out there and make friends in games because maybe they are uncomfortable talking to others. I'm only solo most of the time because every clan I join dies off soon after😂 It's been that way since my other two fire team members left the game before Forsaken. Man that scene where you are sitting looking at the Traveler was awesome but hit me hard because they were not there with me 😢. Very good ending for Destiny for now😁

It’s funny you can break the coverage of this into 2 camps content creators and journalists who are invested in destiny like Paul tassi “times are dark but there’s still hope” and content creators and journalists who cover the games industry as a whole “the path back from this for bungie is so thin that it would be a miracle” Datto had a great quote from an industry analyst “as a rule of thumb I’ve never seen a content company cost cut its way to success. According to Jeff Grubb Sony now runs bungie and they are not developing destiny only maintaining it IF marathon hits then they will revisit the future of destiny. A lot of the content promised for the future like the raid is already in development so seems to me they are not promising much. P.s. I remember them talking about why certain people were moved off destiny onto other projects some of those people were simply bored of working on destiny it was either move them to new projects or they leave the studio.

Content creators making videos like this will kill destiny before Pete parsons. All of these creators making videos being dramatic is not good for your community or the game but yet they always say they don't want destiny to die. Like WTF? Saying there's no optimism after they said they are scraping other projects to focus solely on destiny and marathon is a great news and should be seen as such but no one seems to mention that. Everyone is nieve to the fact that stuff like this happens all the time, it's business. They admitted they miscalculated. Don't get me wrong Pete needs to go but things like this happen to allot of companies. My company did this same exact thing this year and laid off ppl I had worked with for years. It hurts but it is the way it is and it's not going to change. When you apply to work for a company you are agreeing to work for them and comply with how they run their company, whether you like it or not, whether it makes sense to you or not. I was mad at my company over the things they did and when I talked to a corporate guy he explained how and why things happened it made sense and i accepted it allot better. I still didn't like it but it was for the best but I didn't know at first cause I didn't know all the reasons why they were doing these things. Same goes with this situation, everyone freaking out cause ppl got laid off and they don't fully understand why, despite Pete explaining it. I just think it's dumb ppl act like this with layoffs from bungie but don't have the same energy when other companies do it. If Amazon laid off 17% of their workforce would you stop shopping there? If mcdonalds laid off ppl you gonna stop going there? This goes for any place you shop. I know a few major retailers laid off a good chunk of ppl this year she no one batted an eye at it. And this whole thing with Pete buying cars before he laid off ppl is so nieve. No one talking about that mentions his financial situation. He probably has investments he might have other sources of income other than bungie allowing him to do things like that. Insinuating he should put that money towards bungie employees so they can keep their jobs is not smart or sustainable. Ppl attack the statement that they exhausted all other options before doing this yet they have no clue what they did. They could have done nothing or they could have cut pay and bonuses, ppl don't know and just assume the worst without knowing, that's pathetic. Last layoffs creators made the same comments then it came out that some upper management did give up raises or bonuses. We don't know how much these devs get paid or exactly how much is making through all of their avenues of revenue. The only thing that worries me is all of these doom and gloom videos being posted and scaring players away. You guys are creators but you are also influencers. Making a video that can potentially turn players away is going to kill the game hence kill your channel. You are helping dig your own grave. If this is hot you make a living, you are essentially running your own business and you are activly helping kill it and you criticize Pete for how he runs his business.

I didn't love Lightfall but comparing it to Curse of Osiris is just not true. We got a super cool patrol zone, tons of new weapons, a new raid, two new dungeons, etc. The biggest thing I didn't like is that the patrol zone was scaled higher than you are no matter what and unlocking all of the strand fragments is a complete pain.

I’m fairly convinced Lightfall was such a bad expansion, left such a sour taste, many people left and never came back. Those were the people missing to inflate Final Shape sales numbers.

I first found your channel from BL3. Was cool you also covered Destiny. My two cents is you have zero need for a second channel. Just cover the looter shooters or other games you play man. Also, I have a hard time thinking Sony doesn’t eventually revisit D3. Gotta get RoI from that $3.6B at some point. Can’t have everything ride on Marathon.

I enjoyed lightfall and bought it at 50% off. Strand subclass is a great addition to the game. But i don't like is that by the next update my build is not compatible with the start of the new season. On and off for about 2 years, yeah i think im done.

Are they comparing the sales for LF and FS in the same time frame? I convinced two friends to get FS, but they bought LF to catch up and get strand.

I've really appreciate detour build videos over the past year or so buddy. I've been playing destiny since D1 beta and have loved it for the most part. They've had their bad times, good times and middle of the road times. But for me now I'm out. Episodes are just seasons again imo and I never really enjoyed seasons for a length of time. They pulled it out the bag for the final shape which I was happy with for the conclusion. But I cant keep finding the company now for reasons I don't agree with. Found myself only playing one game over the years so playing other things now. I applaud what the crew pulled off for what they did with the finale shape Vs what lightfall was like. The company is struggling so needs to make savings or they will fold and it always starts at the bottom. Where I work is going through similar now like many other companies. It's always the small guy that gets hit before executives will take any sort of pay cut. Look forward to seeing what your future holds on KZbin mate and thanks again for your part in my destiny journey 👍❤️

You are wrong - PP over extended the companies assets to multiple projects to become a multi-game studio only to can them all! He's also responsible for not toning down the woke culture that has driven players away and hurt Lightfall. Finally over promised what the studio could do causing crunch on the employees... HE'S THE PROBLEM

I'm really hoping the rumored riot mmo that's "suppose to compete with Destiny" is very good. Not only do I want to play it lol but it will also be the first real competition for Destiny.
