I'm not particularly good at that, so when I solved it I just used Trigonometry, which while probably more annoying to calculate was a lot easier for me to figure out.

@Name I actually have a really funny story, I solved the problem with Trigonometry just to see if everything worked out, but then a while later I saw a math video and the picture was exactly like the one in this video, except the image was rotated (the given angles might have been slightly different, I can't remember) and he solved it with basic geometry (similar triangles, and various angle rules).

Funny story, I somehow missed that detail when I first watched Rainbow Rocks, but on relistening to the music repeatedly, I made it my headcanon that Fluttershy wrote that song, because she'd been wanting them to play her song and because it just sounds like she wrote it. It's as ridiculous as it sounds, my neighbor was super into them growing up. The others being the obstacle relay and the flag game that was interrupted before it could start and even if you ignored the 3 scoring events and divided them all into individual events you'd still only get either 5 if you count the relay as one or 7 if you count each section of the relay as one. Or you could assume the baking, woodworking and spelling bee were the only 3 events shown out of 10 but why would you hold an even number of tests for a single point. A decathlon gives out 10 winning medals not a best out of 10 award.

Some things you might have missed but that lead to cooler understanding of the songs: "Midnight in Me" is a companion/response/rejection song to "What More Is Out There" from Equestria Games. In "What More is Out There" SciTwi (that is, Twilight Sparkle from the human world rather than Twilight the Pony transformed into a human) is wanting to know more about the world and about all the things, as well as the "strange readings" (AKA Magic) she found at Canterlot High (it's a classic "I want" song in full Disney Princess style). "Midnight in Me" comes after all the events of that movie and the line "I didn't know what I didn't know and life was pretty good" is basically a direct REJECTION of her previous feelings expressed in "What More is Out There". They both are good songs on their own, but when you pay attention to the lyrics, they actually are in conversation with each other and tell a really compelling emotional journey. To complete the journey you actually need a third song "Embrace the Magic" sung by Sunset Shimmer which, despite not being directed at Twilight, is her answer to the issues. Also "Embrace the Magic" is one of Sunset's only solo songs and is amazing. Second thing to note which is cool is that in "ACADECA" each verse is sung by a DIFFERENT chorus. The first verse, where Canterlot wins with Pinky Pie's cake is sung by Canterlot characters. The second verse, which ends with the Canterlot characters losing, is sung by the Crystal Prep chorus. Each verse is basically a dis track directed at the other school, and if you pay close attention you can actually make the argument that Crystal Prep's verses and lines actually are a bit harder hitting and better, building a subconscious superiority for them and setting up Canterlot as the underdog despite them knowing they're the main characters.

First of all, you ended up talking over my favourite line in ACADECA (which was played during ana ACAdemic DECAthlon between the two schools in the thrird film): 15:08 "Hope you didn't spend money, 'cause you're losing this bet." Additionally, three songs from this film (Friendship Games) included backing vocals by Gabriel Brown, also known as Black Gryph0n, the artist behind the Hazbin Hotel fansong Insane (he was also Alastor's original singing voice in the HH pilot). He's one of many artists to start in the Brony fandom, only to expand beyond it. Silva Hound and The Living Tombstone are the two other best examples (both of whom have also done fansongs for the HH/HB universe; one half of TLT, Sam Haft, actually writes most of the songs for Helluva Boss as well).

For the song Deca, the voices change based on which school is singing. There are parts when both schools sing, but in the beginning when they sing “Wondercolts” and “Shadowbolts”, it’s the respective schools. You can slightly tell by their singing who it is as well. But between the movies, the 40 minute specials, the shorts and the standalone songs, they really put their all into it!

I don't know if you knew this already, but twilight and Sunset actually have the same singing voice actor, so the fact that she can make them sound so different is amazing. also you just definitely listen to Together against the sisters by Jyc Row, one of the best fandom songs ever made imo

I can provide context for anyone who hasn’t watched the movies but I don’t know the first song the second song is that world’s twilight. Basically in the movie the also has the last song in it the two different schools Canterlot high and Crystal prep are doing a competition that has been running for years but this year do to twilight from the pony world crossing over there was some magic left behind. The main pony group wasn’t going to use there powers but they activate when they do something based off of their element like kindness so they active it quite a bit on accident and twilight of the human world has been collecting that magic because she’s trying to learn about that, and during the friendship games from the other movie there is one really good song which I believe he has reacted to before one of my favourites she releases the magic and becomes midnight and in this other movie, she feels like she’s still midnight, even though she’s been trying to do better and again with that last song, it is basically just the friendship games for two schools competing against each other the other one in the middle is supposed to be after there is a contest with music videos and the two schools, although originally competing against each other, end up coming together and making an even better music video
