I'm a member of the host club for Okie-Tex. This is a very good video of the event. Wish I could have been there to provide some narration. OTSP 2014 is seeing a record number of people, at least 435+ leading into the event. We're now one of the top five star parties in the US. Thank you to everyone for their support of our star party.

I went to Okie-Tex around 2004 and there were 700 people but lots of space. The skies were clear and transparent but was incredibly windy. About the second best skies for galaxy viewing that I've experienced, the best being New Mexico Skies astronomy resort near Mayhill, NM. I had a great time & bought the tee shirt.

Yeah, if I saw a tarantula like that one at 10:30 crawling up my leg I would freak out and not be able to observe.
