John from www.okraw.com/ visits the Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute to learn why you shouldn't eat raw foods but eat living foods instead.
In this episode, John and Kaelash Neels will share with you why it's important to eat more living foods instead of simply raw foods (as well as other types of food)
You will hear a real-world example of someone transforming from a standard American diet to an ann Wigmore living foods diet and the amazing results and transformation she had.
You will discover the specific differences between raw and living foods.
You will find out how the same food can be considered both raw or living depending on the situation.
You will learn how raw seeds be transformed into a living food. You will discover how raw cabbage can be transformed into a living food.
How can a person transform raw cabbage into a living food?
You will learn how a living food can be degraded into just a raw food, and how it can be transformed back into a living food in certain situations.
You will learn some of the benefits of fermented foods like fermented cabbage, nut and seed cheeses, rejuvelac and more.
You will discover if certain foods can be considered raw or living and how to determine for yourself which is which.
You will learn why you should include more living foods in your diet, instead of raw foods.
After watching this episode, you will learn why eating living foods is more important than simply eating raw foods, and how to ensure more of the food you are eating is living food instead of raw by changing a few practices in your life.

Just want to chime in and say that if all someone can get is the store bought produce it's better than eating processed foods and just junk. Obviously, the optimal situation is to be able to grow your own and sprout as shown here.

Wow, John!! excellent video!! You have taught me so uch over the past two yrs, than what I was taught in my 50 yrs about eating a really healthy diet and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I have so much more positive things to say about the knowledge you have shared and are continuing to share. The information is so amazing, I still can't comprehend how dumbed down we've all become. This is the kind of thing that needs to be teached in schools, not about sexuality! Healthy, living, unaldulterated FOOD will make people better beings, and not trying to plant ridiculous notions into innocent children's heads about what gender they want to be, if any. Thank you John, for keeping me "on track". I'm still trying to figure out how to heal my body, and its those little things that count, that reminds me to stay on track.

of course this kind of knowledge is recommend everywhere to be better on this life , but school today is control by lobbys like microsoft and google who want to put childrens into another reality who we can't call that ' reality ' they control the mind of child with some gadgets and shallow things instead of important things like health and real sciences not this science cames from person who are payed to lie about health just because they did'nt want to have some grow conscient and intelligent peoples

I'm glad he touched on how our stomach acids need some healthy acid balancing foods to help with digestion. 100% alkaline is actually not optimal for digestion and health.

Amigo Syl Yes, I like his ways of teaching. My commen coincided with what the man stated in this video. Alkaline is great in most respects but we need on occasion some foods that are acidic in nature such as fermented vegetables. Stomach acid needs to stay acidic to digest foods. It's to be eaten in moderation along with an alkaline diet.

ann wigmore followers are often pale, plain, and undernourished looking. i knew her personally back in the 80s and nothing about her looked healthy, but she meant well and she did turn me on to blended avocado soup with sprouts and kelp. She used to feed this to us all the time and it was fabulous. she was entertaining and traveled with a blender long before it became popular to do so.

@christinem3981

From what I understand, the longer you sprout legumes the more bitter they become. If you are sprouting your own, try harvesting them a little bit earlier, they might be a bit tastier that way? :)

Edible raw sprouted: peas, mung beans, lentils, fenugreek, clover seeds. Maybe something else too? .. Sprouted beans like kidney beans and other big beans i would treat the same way as non sprouted ones. Specially kidney beans are extremely toxic when raw/soaked/sprouted, so they must be always boiled properly! Anyway sprouting those before boiling process will help their digestion according to my understanding :)
@tiarianamanna973
@tiarianamanna973 6 жыл бұрын
Anyway personally i dont really like sprouted peas. I like them as microgreens a lot! But sometimes i sprout peas and use them cooked in meals. For example like in a traditional african recipe called atar alecha. Delicious, and even though not raw nor living, sprouting (+the spices in the recipe) will ease the digestion.

Thanks JOhn. Can't wait to see more videos while you're down there. I always wonder why more raw foodists don't incorporate more living foods. I think knowing how to sprout and ferment and grow microgreens would help more people stay raw. Also, if more folks knew that you can sprout grains, they might stay raw longer. I feel better without the grains, sure, but it's better to know how to make buckwheat granola and stay raw than to go all gung ho raw for several years and then go back to cooked. You can even make pilafs with barley or wild rice. or even wheat you guys. This goes both for fruit based folks who want to eat something hardier but low fat and for gourmet folks who get sick of nuts, or end up with high cholesterol. I'm fruit-based now but cannot imagine committing to long-term raw foodism like I have without knowing about living foods. I don't understand why there isn't more cross-pollination between the knowledge bases of the various raw food camps. At least we have you to try and connect the dots.
