This is gonna be like. Such a SAPPY comment but I was thinking about this song. Datsugoku is like,,, one of my favorite Vocaloid songs of all time. And your original cover of it, I found it I was a freshman in high school I guess right after it came out. And, no joke, it made me fall in love with the song. Every time I had a hard time I fell back to your cover and it was like, a very good catharsis. I hadn’t listened in a while (sophomore in college now) and I was showing a friend some like, absolutely required listening Vocaloid songs for someone just getting into it. And I thought about Datsugoku and I was like “oh I’ll listen for old time’s sake.” So when I saw you re-covered it it was like freshman me, finding it for the first time again. It’s kind of funny to get so emotional over a cover of a cover of a song from 5 years ago. But here I am, at 4 am writing a paper while listening to it on loop and maybe crying a little. Something I noticed at the end is that all the cages are broken and empty instead of how they were at the start. I believe that this implies that even tho the boy died the crash allowed others to escape the line "if I die without a trace that's fine with me I guess" implies the same as it means that he doesn't care because in the end he got to see what the world looked like even for a few seconds and he helped other people escape

Really underrated and sad part of this pv is how The barrier is still visible throughout the outer edge of the town. Whether it's real and meant to show that the protagonist's escapes were impossible from the start, or hypothetical to visualize how even if he did escape, the plan could never be truly fulfilled because his friend never came along with him like they had planned. I understand you have a specific schedule but can you cover "Goodbye Nostalgia" by Coda? I understand you primarily do Vocaloid but this song is exceptional.
