Evan Youtz mind sending a phone vid? I bought a Aion Metal Distortion (a decent quality HM-2 clone) and it sounded different from what I was expecting. My main rig right now is a RG150 into a Carvin 4x12 with 75s. I don’t know if it’s my rig but it doesn’t seem to capture the chainsaw sound I had in my mind. However, when boosted with an OCD it sounds ballsy like a dual rec.

TC electronic are incredible, they've obviously been in the game for decades now but lately they've been killing it. My flashback 2 delay pedal is absolutely phenomenal for the money. Are there better delays out there? Yes, but marginally and none with the flexibility and size of the flashback 2. Also, toneprints are underrated as hell.

Dude, now I just have to pick it up. Been using my HM-2, but I'm so fuckin' scared that it'll croak on me(the fuckin' thing is over 30 years old now, and has been through some shit) so lately especially, I've been trying to not "put as many miles on it" and have been looking for sort of a replacement. I'll keep the HM-2 for special occasions and stuff, maybe make a little shrine for that thing, so I can worship it lmao.

@@ilikepotatoes1345 that's the same reason I started using the Eyemaster live with my old band. I wanted to save my last HM-2 (I used to have 4 of them 2 Japanese, 2 Taiwanese) from getting wrecked at basement shows and dive bar gigs.

(rehearsal after that it didnt sound the same, never got it sounding like that again). when the internet happened, i did some research and finally bought an hm2. now its 2019 and theres virtual hm2s, boutique hm2s, mainstream market hm2s. this is great but also very strange to me :) "somewhat peculiar"

This pedal comes with the "low" and "treble" potentiometers internally, from the factory you may expect those to be set at noon, but is the first thing I would double check to be at "max", that is probably the reason why is not chugging the way it should.
