Old Animal Crossing was Brutal | An Animal Crossing Wild World Retrospective

It’s almost been 20 years and with that I return to what’s considered to be the best Animal Crossing game. From the insane dialogue to weird scenarios this game all around is unpredictable. But how does the game hold up in 2024? I'll be going over a brief history of the game series before diving in to my own personal gaming experience narrating over the fun little time I had!
It's been quite a while since I've been making public content and you would not believe the amount of effort that goes into creating these goofy little retrospectives with gameplay. If you're playing on an emulator or the wii u version of the game, there is a delay especially when fishing, making it 10x harder so it's not you it's the emulator But overall great video! Happy it showed up in my recommended : ]

You should take a look into city folk sometime. It's the like upgrade basically of wild world and adds a whole bunch of stuff that wild world didn't have, and the villagers are still sassy

Thank you so much! Yeah, it was definitely trial and error when it came to recording audio for the videos I’ve posted so far. I think I fixed it for the most part in my Tomodachi Life video (fingers crossed). I am getting a lav mic so hopefully that sorts out all my audio difficulties. :)

I honestly hate Wild Wordl. In my opinion it's the worst game of the series because there are no holidays. But the most important reason for me is that this is the Animal Crossing game in that losing the villagers in easier. In Animal Crossing gc is right that you can't stop villagers from moving and that if you travel by train a villager will move to that town, but in the normal way only 1 villager out of 15 ( the majority of the cases is the 15th villager ) is a rotating villager that can go away when you don't play. The " I'm moving out " conversation usually only means that if you travel by train that villager will move out. In Animal Crossing City Folk villagers will gave you an occasion of stop them, of course they can still move out without permission, but you can stop them. In Animal Crossing New Leaf villagers will gave you an occasion of stopping them to move out like City Folk, but is rarer that they move out without warning, and if a villager ask you if he should move out the last day you play, nobody will move out without warning when you don't play. For example, a villager asked me if he should move out the last day I played, i returned one year and half later and nobody left me. In Animal Crossing New Horizons villagers can't move out without your permission. In Wild Wordl is easier because when a villager wants to move out he is in boxes and, even if you ask him/her to rest/move out is not guaranteed that he will obey you. And you have only one day to stop him! I didn't play for 3 days and a villager was gone in wild wordl! I hated losing my favourite villager Filbert at the very first occasion( I soft resetted 10 times for having him as a starter villager ) and deleting my town because of that!

Honestly yeah Wild World misses out on so so much compared to every other game in the series, and considering City Folk exists even if I wanted to play a game like Wild World, I really don't see myself returning any time soon
