Hey Steve, it was another professional job, I like how you decided to reroute the pipe an added ball valves. They're the best an most reliable valve as far as longevity goes.!

my journeyman had that same pump and it sounded sick and dying. luckily, he had a company card. so after a day where we waited ONE FULL HOUR to drain a water heater, he bought one of the Milwaukee m18 transfer pumps. water heaters in under 10 minutes, drained.

Steve, identity theft, I'm just going through that nightmare myself. Spent all of Monday on the phone trying to get to the bottom of this issue. Credit cards, gambling accounts, phony bank accounts.......what a nightmare, and it was all caused by a security breach at my bank.

UNFILTERED well water running through copper can easily deposit solid minerals on inside walls of copper pipes that are not being used. For example, a copper line going to a faucet that is never used. To help prevent these pin holes with well water, install a water filter before the water softener. As an added measure, occasionally, run water through those normally unused lines to flush out any mineral particles. Of course, thin-wall M copper is the worst.

Steve, what causes copper pipes to go bad like this?
@PianoRevisited Жыл бұрын
Steve's busy so I'll give it a go. Steve said the pipe was "thin s*** ". Copper Pipe comes in different thicknesses. L is thicker than M and therefore would tend to hold up longer than M when subjected to the various corrosive elements in water. Also, everything has an expected lifespan. As they say "Even iron wears out ".
@stevenlavimoniere Жыл бұрын
copper pipe rots from the inside out well water does not help it any .. it could be m copper tubing = thin wall pipe .. L copper is twice as thick .

Steve can i use my carlin boiler during a power outage using my portable generac generator properly hooked up to the house?
@brianburns7211 Жыл бұрын
I run my heat with a portable generator when my power goes out.
@jblyon2 Жыл бұрын
Parents have run their Leakham with a Carlin burner off the generator for almost 40 years. So long as it's hooked up properly and you respect the load limits it'll work just fine.

Most seem to have a system now where you can just get a temporary PIN from whatever credit bureau they're trying to check so you don't even have to unfreeze it. I keep mine frozen all the time.
