Bravo! The slower, thoughtful approach is best and the results thus far have been well worth the wait. When we bought our first house-forty-seven years ago (!)-we bought it “as is” from a couple in their eighties and assured them that we didn’t mind cleaning it out 😳. After working on it for a year, we still unearthed a rowboat in the garage! We were in that house for eight years and turned it into a little jewel box. So, I watch your progress with excitement and fond memories.

When I saw the house before you started on it, I thought, "oh boy, do they have a lot of work to do." You have an amazing start! I like that you are working with the features already in the house. We have lived in our old farmhouse for 32 years, raised a family of boys, and grandchildren. The house is an ongoing project. You do get ideas over the years as you live in the place.
