What I meant with 'very much needed' was that since I've already worked my mind numb on things I don't enjoy doing one bit, I found this video to be a necessary relief to my otherwise stressful evening. YT recommended it to me after all, and it was fun to watch. :D I also wouldn't say that I'm obsessed over gay people. As it turns out, I'm socially very awkward person, never even dated anyone in my 25+ lifespan, and I find it rather hard to getting to know new people. I am very friendly and open, but I just don't find any words to say to new people, if I struggle with them even with my friends! Although the younger generation of gays uses it to describe literally any attractive guy. I've seen people calling Pearl from RPDR "trade." A twink with stubble is NOT trade. If you can clock someone as being gay in 1.3 seconds, they are NOT trade. The gays my age got me f*cked up with this new definition of trade.

The whole point of most of these words is to take them out of their original context and use them in a "gay" way. Of course gays didn't invent them. It's like using "wig" and someone saying "well, it was originated in the hairstyling industry, not in the internet slang community". That's how ya'll sound in the comments.

"Extra" and "bop" weren't exclusively adopted by gay people, they are slang terms that are used by everyone including gay people. There are some words on this list that I think qualify as "gay words" but some of them just don't. I'd say "wig" is a gay word since it's exclusively used by gays in it's current connotation, but "bop" has the same connotation to gay people as it does to straight people. It's like saying that a handful of gay people said "crunk" in the early 2000's so now "crunk" is a gay word.

That's why I said I think of "wig" as a gay word since mainly only gay people use it. There are other words that mainly only black people use, but "bop" and "extra" HAVE broken the boundaries of being just a gay or black word (since they're common words that almost everyone of a certain age or generation uses)
