(ENGLISH CC AVAILABLE) Poets of the Fall / Old Gods of Asgard, The fictious band in the Remedy Connected Universe world lore. May it be in Alan Wake or Control or Easter Eggs in even Quantum Break. The Old Gods of Asgard in that world are a force to be reckoned with.
Alan Wake 2 is my Game of The Year because of the fact that the narrative and story is so in depth and so questioning, so intriguing and something that uses Video game mechanics to assist the Art Form, the Music, the Live Action, The amazing Graphical environment making the atmosphere. Every Element in the videogame seems to be supported by the Story
Also the Herald of Darkness Musical in the dark place is something special, a special figure named Warlin Door who constantly tries to tell Alan Wake something in the dream like realm of the dark place, toying with him, trying to feed him information through a talk show, trying to bend the narrative. Making fun of him with a full on over the top musical number you can play through for 15 minutes that also adds up fully to the story, next level stuff
And now weeks later, they are doing the shortened version at the game awards, Sam Lake is also a bit of a childhood memory with Max Payne 1 (and 2) having a big impact on my video game life. Being able to nog make an Alan Wake 2 and Sam Lake always having that child like enthousiasm that so few people (I'm thinking stan lee) seem to keep later in life, being so dissapointed he couldnt make AW2 around 10 years ago, seeing so happy and vindicated in a musical number the big suits wanted to cut from the game. REDEMPTION. What a day to be alive

Poets of the Fall are by far my favourite band. Their music is super detailed and varied in style. Their normal stuff is even better than the things they do as Old Gods
