Thank You for posting this! I had not seen the commercials before, though I heard the Old Home Fill 'er Up song on WHO DesMoines many times before Bill Fries became famous.

These commercials and the song Convoy helped start the whole cb trucking craze. That helped spin off the movies smokey snd the bandit and convoy. The old home cafe is still open in Pisgah Iowa in 2024

It’s insane to me that CW McCall spawned his country albums and an entire movie from being in advertising. Wish he made more than he did.
