I was surprised by all the shiplap! Looks like it was used for a dumping ground. Was nice at one time. Thank you for sharing!

It certainly doesn’t look abandoned from the road, but when you go in the front door it is a disaster! All that chaos makes me want to start cleaning it up. They must have collected every newspaper for years. I’m sure when everything is removed it would look so much better and livable. Have a good week!

She's a beauty. Even the cobwebs give an artistic testament to her elegance. The red hospitality door to the porch and the blue porch ceiling still have those old southern meanings of the Deep South. I miss the old South charm and vibe. Thank you for covering this grand old lady. ❤

My kind of house. Some stuff to trash. Some for yard sale. Then start the repairs. Never saw thin board on walls before. Different.

I did a good job on my house, clearing it well, leaving only portable lightweight stuff, finding homes for all the extra junk nobody needed in the first place, getting rid of stupid things, heh... nothing to write home about...😇

I think what some people forget is that the plants/flowers around the house is not hybrids, they are heritage seed. People today are so use to "throw-aways" they miss the "real-things". Like the 1st lightbulb that is still burning after 100yrs. It was made to last. The old wringer washing machine, etc. The metal porch chairs that heard many a story & conversations. I'll stop & enjoy the video & think of all the good things of long ago. Someone should remove all the books/magazines to save them for prosperity, maybe there are people that want to read how the last century people lived & read. Maybe there just might be a boy/girl that would like to know how beauty of the old was crafted & curiosity & inspiration will take them on a journey. A tragedy of the newspapers thrown everywhere; some history is lost, people, inventions & global.
