The reason I was enthralled with this restoration remake is your use of vintage tool and no electrical machinery of any kind. Your metal skills are on a similar scale to a wood craftsman call Mr. Chickadee. You both prove that the old ways though maybe not as fast they are a more satisfying way to create a work of art. Google only says it's a Garatine Stahls corkscrew knife. Circa 1920-1940 and similar sell for between $30 and $40 USD. Hope this helps a little.

This looks more like a rebuild than a restore because most of the original knife was too far gone. It was still impressive the way that you rebuilt that knife with hand tools.

Beautiful work! All I can Teri you about the knife is that it probably dates to the 40s. The Solingen conglomerate generally made parts for numerous manufacturers. With just “guaranteed steel” and “made in Germany”, there’s not much more to discover. But, your knife is far higher quality than the original ever was.

I receive a lot of rude comments for clothing used in my videos and some of them are comparing me with the clowns. It is very sad but that is our society these days.
