The video (which was another one-take) took 9 hours to film - from 7 pm to 4 am. All of the characters in the video were Ren's friends rather than paid actors. At the time it was their most ambitious one-take video (later eclipsed by Money Game Part 3)

This video was made with the help of friends and friends of friends A load of borrowed stuff from local parks also including the building belonging to a friend Hours of repeated retakes until around 4.30am! Ren made all these tracks except one before going to Canada for treatment and before Hi Ren was recorded and released

@@annaberkley7575 one of the reasons I did it was because so many people use negativity as a way to increase their fan bases (an example of this is various videos about the new Fallout TV show or a large percentage pro wrestling channels) and since discovering Rens music and it's RENegades and finding that the core ethos of helping your fellow people aligned with my own i had the thought pop into my head as I was seeing up to record that I would look for reacters who were just starting to grow their channels and try and assist in the RENegades finding another worthy cause. Only afterwards did I find out that the guy running that channel had quit making content for months due to bullying and hateful commenters abs was only just getting back until it, so I think it may have been fate sending us where we were needed to show that there is a group that has empathy, patience and support. See, I can ramble in writing as well as verbally haha

There a very few musicians that just don't miss...every song different yet clearly them, and just various degrees of brilliance. Ren for sure, Pink Floyd, Maiden, and Nightwish for me, with Epica and Sabaton getting honorable mentions

Great spot pointing out the pauses he uses for tempo changes and how it catches you off guard on a first watch/listen. Totally agree that you can't have a favourite track of Rens because of the range of musical styles. You can't compare this track with many others and the same is true of everything he has produced.

Ren said this song was mostly just for fun, but he definitely had a vision for the video & that’s when he realized he could make it mean something & reflect some of his influences. Ren had over 80 friends & their friends appear in this video. He loves challenging himself to getting a one take, which can take quite a few tries. I can’t imagine his meticulous instructions to everyone before the entire zoo was unleashed! He said that for some reason he enjoys directing others to start over - he said he kind of became a bit gleeful at their sad faces every time he said cut. 😂 💜

Haha! Ren is definitely a perfectionist. I think Sam and the others from the Money Game 1 video shoot still have PTSD from over 130 takes of that video 😹 But this one was daring on a whole other level due to how many people and props were involved. But they captured the madness brilliantly Ren and Sam have been working on ideas / episodes for a pilot to pitch to Netflix for a series. Ren is excited about developing more as a director.

One more thing, there's this other reactor I watch who unapologetically watches videos twice. (a few of them do). Once to take in the song and appreciate it without pausing much, if at all, and another to add more commentary and breakdowns. One of my better ideas I thought. After the support I have gotten, I wanted to somehow pay it forward and the idea came to me as I was about to start recording the video. I'm on the hunt for the next creator to shout out now. Obviously the main thing I am looking for is a positive attitude ( so that they fit the RENegade community well) and a lower sub count than me ( and preferably under the amount to start monetizing ) as I am hoping it give their channel enough of a boost to keep them invested in doing it. However if I come actoss a channel that has that special something, I'll give it a shout out too, as they are likely to be in a position that they are the ones adding to the community. TL;DR Because I am grateful of the support i've gotten I want to pay it forward

I don't know if anyone has told you, if you get a hit from YT on any Ren song, dispute it. Ren allows any of his songs to be used by reactors and will push it through for them. He's the rare artist who allows his content to be freely used. You could play the songs through once without stopping then go back to play again and pause for specific spots that caught your attention.

Damn, I can't believe I missed the premiere..was it posted in the community notes? Sometimes that can be helpful, so we viewers can anticipate a premiere and mentally schedule it, just look out for it, since they tend to be 5 minutes or less. Even though notifications will give one a 30 minute heads up, if you're not expecting a premiere to drop you'll have a situation in which subscribers, like myself, would have showed up, but just didn't get the message in time. They are usually so different and well worth a reaction. it's amazing to see an artist rewrite his own song in such amazing ways. There are arguments about which are better but I suggest always do the official first. As it was intended.

FWIW, i enjoy watching _reactions_, not analysis. Ren would be happy with you just watching his songs through with us, and allowing us to enjoy your enjoyment of the song. Then either re-watch and add pauses second time, or just add analysis after. A lot of reactors worry too much about pointing things out....but they don't need to. The reality is that knox hill will break down the bars to these within a couple of hours of release. Joe E Sparks will tell us anything interesting that's happening in the videos. Thatsinger or charismatic voice will cover vocal techniques...and so on. On the other hand, genuine reactions are very unique to individuals and fascinating. And they're diminished by pauses that break up flow, cause people to miss things and prevent emotional build up etc.

I definitely appreciate what you are saying, just as others tell me that they love getting my take on the things I put out. It's all about balance and I can admit that I am still trying to find mine. But that's all part of the journey. At the end of the day, I have to be true to who I am and not tailor the videos to a particular group. Ideally I would like to appeal to excretory but I know it's not realistic. I do very much appreciate the feedback though 😁

Haha no, the studio is in a different structure than the rest of the house. It was the hiss from the cheap mic I was using. I've fixed that issue going forward
