Fun fact the shirt that Jarvis is wearing I bought at Target in 2020 - and then he helped out with a music video I was directing and it looked so god damn good on him I told him he could keep it. Very happy to see it showing up on this video.

I'm a woman in my 30s. My mum is in her 70s - and she's so much more active than me! She goes to museums and theatres, she met a couple of other retired ladies on Facebook and goes out with them, she used to do qigong until the gym where she'd go to closed down.

The only thing to truly fear about aging is health complications imo. As long as you take care of your health you'll probably enjoy your older age as if you were still young. I'm 20 but I already have tons of chronic diseases and health issues so I don't think I'll make it past 30 lmao
@SundayMourningLove

I almost cried on my thirtieth birthday. My mum baked me a cake and she wrote '30' super large ( covered the whole cake ) in chocolate chips. I almost cried, my mum got pissed bc she doesn't take emotions well at all, lol, so I held back the tears... It was hard though realizing my twenties were over ( also, my little sister/favorite person in the whole world had just recently died and going into a new decade of life without her was hitting me pretty hard... ) I've come to realize now though ( especially since my sister's death, she was only 22 ) that getting older is actually a gift. It's a blessing that not everyone receives. We get more time to experience the beauty of the world, more time to learn how to appreciate things, more time to love... Instead of dreading it the way we all do, we should appreciate it. Every decade of life has something new & special to offer! So instead of being sad about the decade you're losing, we should be excited about the next decade we have to look forward to! And just be happy about all the life you have that many others are tragically deprived of ❤️

I tried to reply to the second one but the reverse characters are making the text box flip out. But yeah, aging definitely can and often does suck. It's kinda like growing up but instead of getting bigger and stronger, you get weaker as your body slowly deteriorates. Being active generally slows that, although sometimes you just get unlucky. My grandfather is almost 100 years old, about 75 years older than me, and recently has often complained that he just wants to be done with life and he misses his wife.

@@7792pnaurfr In America, my family took care of my grandmother in our own home for years, until very close to her death. She had Alzheimer's and many health issues and we simply weren't prepared to handle what that entailed (changing an elderly woman's disposable underwear, bathing her, watching her at all times as a fall risk, calming her down from psychosis towards the end). It put a tremendous strain on the family. So no, it doesn't come out of a place of not caring. For older grandparents with severe health issues, many people don't have the material or mental resources to do it. Quit being so judgmental.

Jarvis you don’t understand how seen I feel right now, when the retirement house first became a thing I was instantly perplexed by Eugene, he reminds me of the six flags “old guy” but with drip, nobody’s ever mentioned it before and I thought I might’ve been absolutely losing it

I don’t care if it’s staged or authentic, it’s WHOLESOME and it’s REFRESHING and it’s NEW. Gone are the generic “old = internet illiterate” stereotypes, in its place are seniors vibing. I wish for that when me and my friends are older. It’s a MOOD and a VIBE

I want the best for these old people even the one who may or may not be old. Also I like how we're all just entangled and stuck in Will and Jada's mess like a filler saga of DBZ.

My grand grandmother used to flip us and it was the most hilarious thing ever. She was super frail and elegant, yet she had a really nasty array of gestures. She was amazing and these ladies brought up a lot of memories, bless them

I’m gonna have to follow this channel. I’m personally addicted to watching Tequilaanddonuts on TikTok. She doesn’t have the flashiness of Retirement House, but Tequilaanddonuts never ceases to make me laugh with her thrift shopping, store browsing AND, *most importantly*, her roasting items in ridiculous catalogs using dental picks (plus putting little toy poodles to cover up some…Adult…items found inside)!! 😳😂
