I started writing down in a little cookbook some of my favorites from watching your videos. I found your channel awhile back when you made collard greens. I made them the exact way you showed. Absolutely the best collards I’ve ever made. I’m 65 and a fairly good cook but I’m learning so much from you. I can make excellent Mexican food but I’ve always craved good southern dishes and now I’ve found them! Thank you Mattie for your amazing and delicious dishes! Ohhh Mrs Mattie, neck bones are the first thing I made of yours and the first time I tried them it was the video where you floured them and used the brown sauce and baked them in the oven they were soooo good

I used to work with a southern black woman from Georgia and she used to bring in soul food and share it with me. I couldn't believe how good it was and never had it since. This was in the late 90's. Mattie reminds me of her. Thank you from a hungry white guy. Great job Mattie.
