Found one on the net that looked like the one you refurbished that they said was about a 78 or 79 model. Great job. I am 53, and always loved the few Tonka toys that I had. Made of metal and durable. Plus, we could play with them using more than just our thumbs.

Santa gave me Tonkas for Christmas. Snow was covering the ground in Pennsylvania, and when it finally melted, the ground was wet and muddy. A kid either learned patience waiting for months to play with the Tonka outside in dry dirt or ignored the toys, because they couldn't play with them in the dirt right away! A sandbox was not as fun!.

Lovely restoration - it looks great, probably better than new. The powder coating gives amazing results, the chrome wheels look like bare metal. I do like the darker green, although it's very different to the original John Deere colour. All the Best, Dougie.
