Just got the 106 couple weeks ago and installed the transducer. Noticed it hangs 0.5-1" below the hull, I can't believe they designed it like that! I just order this transducer mount! Thank you!

How big is the lithium battery you speak about? I have the same exact set up and purchased the scupper mount from Nick too. How has the fish finder with the transducer in that spot been for you? My maiden voyage Saturday. Appreciate any information Thank you

The lithium battery I have is 100ah by Amped Outdoors. The scupper mount has worked perfectly.

Works great and it’s a lot easier to install than the factory location. It doesn’t interfere with SI.

I have the Garmin striker 4. Could not mount the TRANSDUCER that way. It would be in the way of the motor. So it was to long. Not sure how long your transducer is. I had a very hard time had nick send me a few different mounts. Turned it around, but because there is a recess in the kayak it does not fit flat.

How is the steering with your feet. Is is easy or does it kill your calves or quads after a day of pushing the pedals back and forth? Thx

Good Find! Just ordered Garmin GT56 transducer with CHIRP traditional sonar and Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü scanning do you think having it tucked up closer to hull would affect any readings ? I’m guessing no but just asking. Thanks

I wouldn’t think so either. I don’t know for sure. But I think it should be fine.

@@BlueSummitOutdoors GT56 Seems to Fit perfect, snug up under the scupper but the back couple inches is over the nose of the prop assembly would they affect the readings on the screen? Assuming you would select the depths below to view and it wouldn’t matter ?

Great fix but curious if the transducer still works as well up under/against the boat as opposed to hanging off the plate as Old Town intended. Any issues so far? Just got a Helix and think I'll order the Humminbird mount from Navarre but would love your feedback.

Cool mod! I have my 106 MK on the way. I’ll probably be going with a Lorance setup. I’ll keep an eye out for the updated Lorance/Humminbird mounts.

Currently I just have a YakAttack Visicarbon pro for my stern light and a suction cup front navigation light for the bow. But I know YAKPower makes some awesome lights and switch systems.

Don’t you need it mounted lower for side imaging to work? I also want to mount mine high like that but I fish a lot of shallow water so I need SI to work right up to the river bank.

I think you should be fine, if not you could always use a spacer and a longer bolt to drop the transducer a bit.

I wonder if it would work for the predator pdl that's the only problem I have with the predator when truck bed loading it by yourself the transducer would likely get hung up and break when sliding up into your truck bed. Thanks for sharing the video 👍
