Question if i wanted to put a bigger battery say like a 12V 300Ah LiFePO in a box in back tankwell, will this effect motor or like balance of kayak or something else? i dont get enough time on the water trolling

Just got it and I like it so far, is heavy to paddle so make sure you have a good battery and will not recommend going more than 3 to 5 miles out because if something bad happen with the power source and you have to paddle back in a windy day well is going to definitely be a adventure

The price of this is more reasonable than the autopilot. No spot lock but you can't have everything.A lot of development has gone into the hull not just the motor. Old town has set a new trend for centre console mounted motors. Watch for the copycats that are sure to follow but it will be difficult to do better. Great work Old Town.

I'd love to see you do a comparison between this kayak and the Jonny Boats Bass 100 with the trolling motor pod. I feel like it's their closest competitor and the Jonny boat is almost half the price.

maxes out at like 4mph, range depends on the battery you choose, max speed 12v 100ah lithium battery will be like 13 miles, half speed you can probable go over 20
