The comment from the dude about the injectors is because he is one of those who do rebuilds that are not really rebuilds. Tell the customer you are doing a rebuild and then reuse whatever you can get away with reusing. That's why people have premature rebuild failures. Very instructive videos! Thank You,

Those 3208's were really a tough engine for what they were. Underpowered yes, but for that application or a pump/generator, they were terrific. A gravel pit I work at has a generator with one and it's never been touched other than regular service and an injector pump, for 18,000 hours.

Thanks for another great video of your fun. Brake clean is about $4 a can when I buy it on offer in box fulls the customer pays me $6. I'm pretty sure if we called it "component cleaner" like Cat we could probably bill it out at $12 plus like they would round here in Manitoba, that would be the only difference. I use non chlorinated, I have a customer that supplies everything as he don't want me making an extra buck on anything. one day I was doing brakes on his 1175 case. He got 2 cans of Case chlorinated,that stuff nearly killed me with the fumes sitting under the cab between the wheel and transmission. When he gave me the shop towels and case cleaner, I though he was so worried about me making a buck extra. He actually spent about $8 more in the CaseIH dealers L.O.L, Some guys never learn !. Take care.

I was in our local combine wreckers that closed down 2 weeks ago. The guy was near giving stuff away the last 2 days. I asked why he still had so many 3208's in combines, Guys are looking for them round here. a buddy of mine had one and about 9 calls when he parted his combine after rock damage. The wrecker guy said they generally want good running ones, these are all screwed. There was 15 in a line in machines with more laying around on the ground in pieces. Yes you got a good one but there are way more that aren't around I found more than 15 in one yard.

The "Wire jumper" on the solenoid is flyback diode. It absorbs the reverse kickback voltage spike. It has polarity so needs to be correct way around.
@westerntruckandtractorrepa13535 жыл бұрын
Didn't know that.
@leebarnes6555 жыл бұрын
Flyback coming from the TV repair industry of 50s and beyond, it does my heart good to hear Clive of bigclive youtube fame call it a flywheel diode which more accurately describes what's going on with those. It's not a reverse kickback anything - it's forward current in the same direction that built the magnetic field in the first place and always so. The collapsing field cutting across the windings being the opposite of counter EMF also mentioned often with the notable complete and total absence mention of the same EMF in the forward direction which this flywheel diode will short the current of back to the source of it - the coil of the solenoid. Same effect makes spark for every gasoline engine utilizing spark ignition, but a diode used there would result in no spark. One of the reasons I didn't do any good as a TV repairman was the insistence of the way wrong naming and use of the HV flyback systems in them. No one could teach 8 year old me that I was the one that was right and these Gods among men were blowing foul smelling gasses out their rear ends just because they be lazy speaking, and they can force their idiocy upon others while hiding behind the curtain. Anywhere else you call a brake pedal the go pedal, you'll be called onto the carpet. It's counter intuitive with self serving evil overtones as well. At 65 and no career, I've learned to properly and instantly ignore the term as protectionism at it's finest glory. You've got it backwards and don't seem to care as an example. Believe me, it's not very important to me at all - it just is what it is.

@johnshaft56134 жыл бұрын
@@stillwater62 It used to be a great bug killer, I used it all around to kill black widows. It used to kill them faster than dedicated black widow spray. But since the brake cleaner became non-chlorinated...at least here in CA...it no longer kills them. They get pissed and wander around a bit like they are drunk, but they survive. It is fantastic for cleaning paint spray guns....even non-chlorinated.

How is your back feeling? Be very Careful if your taking Aleeve or naproxen both the same just naproxen requires a prescription from a "doctor". It is very very bad stuff and can/will cause stomach problems/bleeding. Have you ever thought about getting a lower back support wrap? They are cheap and do wonders. . . It will not help with your premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction so do not throw out the rubber bands and popsicle sticks. Great video brother keeps up the good work.
