Hi keith think going give that a go my self just leave the sugar out or just put a teaspoon of brown in hi think it make a great dip for nuggets bits things like that for grandkids not to spicy for them thanks for sharing

I have been making this quite a lot we really like it . We either just pour it over chips , or have it with cooked chicken breast and rice . I think I might try adding sultanas and apple next time . So happy you made it at last . Thanks OFG !!

Hi Keith that curry looked nice I prefer rice with curry instead off chips I always add a drop off butter into my warm rice when it's just cooked and still warm it really makes a difference I hope yous are all well keep up the good cooking. Barbara n ireland

I never had curry at school in all 3 schools I had gristle y meat I think you could of soled your shoes with it dinner in infant and junior schools were brought in the hall we had dinner their cos we had no kitchens the big flasks stored horrible mash that tasted weird the stew was OK because the potatoes were init the custard was so watery I think they made a dgallon out of a pint custard mix I loved senior school dinners they were made in the school kitchen the meat pie was so so nice jt had like a crumble topping on it must of been lard and flour crumbled and we had chips and fish every blue moon love fran xxxx

I think they did school curry differently in Scottish schools, I swear ours was a couple of tins with Winalot Dog Food, watered down with tap water and a entire plastic tub of Curry Powder dumped in after 30 min simmer. 100% agree though with you about when to cook the chicken to get the spices into it, drop the sugar. It's quite common to put a bit of sugar in curries, even in very traditional South Asian cooking. It just balances things out a bit.

If you're simmering chicken for an hour you'd be better off with thigh meat as the breast meat will turn pretty tough and stringy after that amount of cooking
