I really had not tested anything and I’ve added a wind screen, engine guards, etc. It still just feels so good. But now I am realizing what i don’t have , etc. The aftermarket for this bike is very limiting. So I have started looking at the Street Glide. I am actually using it to commute to work every day that I can. So rain here in the NW is a big factor (I have no rain cover on my Air Filter (didn’t come with one and I have been riding now 3 mos) Anyway Once again thanks for all you do!

Love, Love, Love your channel I just bought a used bike 2014 FLS slim out of the blue. The last bike I owned was a Honda Rebel (Don’t even ask How long ago that was.) I sat on the bike after sitting on many and it just felt like I had slipped into my favorite pair of gloves. IT had only 24,000 miles on it. It’s crazzzy - I was thinking I would get a scooter and stopped into the Harley dealership on a whim. (I’m only 5’5”)

I bought the 24 roadglide this year. Put over 20.000 km on it already. My screen completely quit on it after 4 days of rain on it, not sure if that had to do with it lol . They had to replaced the sreen unit in it. Also they replaced my front brake rotors because they were totally warped. Stock seat is actually pretty good but after riding lets say 2 hrs, stop at gas station for like 20 go again for 2 hrs and seat goes flat after that. So its good for anything up to 2 hrs lets say. Motor runs really good. Mine has a stage one and its pretty quick. But even my new screen still has glitches from tome to time. Harley didnt do their homework at that. Mine is always in custom mode with everything set to the max.

Happy to have found your channel as I too am old not dead.....ride a Street Glide Special and a Dyna (not at the same time). Going out on a limb here...the new Street Glide temps me but not enough to pull the trigger on one. Too young in its developmental cycle is the big thing. Never buy a first year or so of anything. As an IKEA bike it is better than my '18 FLHXS was off the showroom floor....2nd, the "paid for" look is really tough to beat these days. Keep up the good work, or as we say around here Endeavor to persevere😜

Very good review. You mention tyres! Just to open a huge amount of discussion which tyres do you run/recommend? Here in the U.K I am running Avon Cobra Chrome at the moment, finding them a good tyre in most conditions, although the rear does wear a little more than I would of liked. Also how about doing a review on the Pan America.

I like the new Street Glides, need Rineharts for sure, but I like the redesign. I'm a tech guy so I am digging the new infotainment system. Looks like you still need that little plug off of Amazon to get Carplay without a headset going. I'm glad you went over the different modes, I think they are stored fuel tunes, and the fact you can do your own on the fly is pretty cool. If I had room for another bike I would go for it, but I just went Stage III and I am not trading in my Ultra :P
@mateschitz4 ай бұрын
Well, just did a test ride with a ´24 Street Glide last week , and the negatives outweigh the positives by far! First of all, I like the Design, looks great in my opinion. The Power of the engine is, let's say, refreshing, plenty of power. And that's it with the positives. So many thins I didn't like ... let's start with the Engine. Yes, lots of power but the throttle responds is too sensitive, some may like it, I don't! The Character of the engine is too Japanese like, smooth, quiet, specially the sound, there is none, thanks to Euro 5 and Euro 5+ emission rules! Even with Kesstech or Jackyl&Hyde exhausts (In Europe there are very strict rules, we can't just put some random exhaust on). To make the M8 sound really Harley like, you gotta put different cams in, which is pricey and, again, in Europe not legal (but its not obvious for cops so most of us don't really care). Next ... the build quality, all that cheap looking and feeling plastic! The inside of the fairing, the controls, the buttons and switches, for such an expensive bike unacceptable. Lastly ... the Batwing, at about 80km/h the wind hits you real hard right in your face if you're a little taller guy! I was thinking about getting the M8 Street Glide but after that test ride, na, thanks .... I stick to Twin Cam Models or Evos

Excellent Vid, .. However I do want to point out that Height means Diddly-Squat on an MC when you are trying to Promote the MC/ Rather than saying you are 6"-4" ...... Try being realistic and Saying. This bikes seat height is 27 " and my In-seam is 34 ". For comparison. I'm 5-6 , My Bike seat height is 27", and it fits like a jem ....My in-seam is 31 " Some HD's are Wide AF , and a 31 " in-seam might = tip-toeing the bike...... Height has nothing to do with it. Oh well I am now enjoying the Italian brand I have moved onto. For people who love their harleys good on ya and enjoy it but for me sometimes you just have to stand by your principles.

I mentioned this in my post above... Hoping Aymen is able to devote a new video to the topic. John Deere, Tractor Supply, Bud Light all losing billions, and HD didn't get the memo. Quintessential American brand vs. the woke band-wagon. As many scholars have noted DEI has its roots in Marxism, and I'm pretty sure most Harley riders have a wee-bit-of a problem with that.

Nothing the owner can actually fix and any upgrades you do unless they are done by a Harley tech will void your warranty thus any work needed to fix defects will cost a mint . Paint is ugly . Harley dealership is a Great place for latte drinkers as they sit in the show room waiting for techs to tell you they cant figure out what’s wrong with the electrical / ECU .
