If you are hesitant because of the treasure hunter keys and it being generally easier, I personally think playing RS3 Ironman is a nice halfway point in difficulty between OSRS and RS3. Just a suggestion, cause I don't enjoy rs3 with all the treasure hunter stuff, but then again, I think osrs is too much of a time sink in my present situation. Also yes, great series, Marcus! Hope things continue to grow for you!

Matthias Urban I’m not into RS3 mainly is because of the advanced animation as I have been playing OSRS for over 8 years now. The old school and nostalgia vibe is what keep pushing me to keep playing as I agree on the time sink in part . Might really switch to RS3 as I’m taking interest in the new Archeology skill

I commend you for the quality of content you put out. One Note: It's usually not advised to use silverhawks at such a low level (same for a bunch of the exp items, sweet spot is right in the mid levels), grinding out the lower levels is much quicker

This episode right here is the perfect example of why I personally prefer OSRS, RS3 takes itself super seriously and always has to be some sort of epic unfolding story where you're the hero at the start of the game. In OSRS Rune Mysteries, you're nothing more than an errand boy, because you haven't proven yourself you're just some random who walked into a powerful wizards tower.

I did end up getting a few pieces there in RS3, but I felt it would be more “authentic” if I got them as drops. I’ve never regretted anything more 🙄😂

3 pieces of goblin mail can be found in various crates around goblin village. I don't know they're there in OSRS, but they should definitely be there in RS3. Also worth noting that the goblins in Goblin Village are from two separate tribes, who never wore brown armour. They wore red and green since they were originally split into tribes.

This is giving me a new view on RS3, I stopped playing when the evolution of combat happened and recently got back in to OSRS. RS3 looks interesting, but possibly overwhelming!

There’s a lot to it, but I always tell people they don’t have to do everything at once! I recommend sticking with what you know from OSRS at first if it’s all a bit much. After you’ve got your bearings a bit, then you can pick one new thing in the game, research it online, and do a deep dive into that thing. Rinse and repeat for all the new stuff, and it all feels a lot smaller and less complicated! That may not work for you, but I thought I’d share! ☺️

FYI there's a toggle so that you can click through Roasty. Useful if he's always in the way of you getting drops. Might also want to fix that ability bar so that Slice isn't the first basic ability you use. Generally, it's bad to put 3 second cooldown abilities to the front of your ability bar rotation. Reason being they're low damage, and if they're in front, in addition to only having a 3 second cooldown means you almost always use a low damage ability which severely cripples your dps. Anyway, I'm almost finished with the vid. As always, I really enjoyed it!

Hey, a couple quick rs3 tips - Checkout the wiki for “Revolution++ Optimal Bars”. Copy those, and make sure in your combat settings you have revolution setup to automatically fire threshold abilities. Don’t worry if you don’t have the abilities yet, you’ll unlock them eventually, and they’ll be in the right place. You then won’t have to worry about this for a long time - You really don’t want to ever use a shield (except for as a switch for defensive abilities, which is way down the line). Most of the revo abilities require either dual wield, or 2h weapon to be wielded to use, so using a shield prevents the use of those abilities. - Silverhawk feathers sell for 20k each on the ge. Using them at your level is really inefficient gp wise (I’d recommend just selling any that you get) - This one is more personal preference, but I would put all xp lamps in 1 or 2 skills that you really hate (agility). A lot of skills are really easy to train (like combat), so putting xp lamps in something like range isn’t super helpful. You do you though, this is just an efficiency tip, but not strictly necessary. Loving the series, and the quest based approach. I like the idea of doing f2p quests, then following up with unlocking elf city, and darkmeyer. That will get you pretty deep into the game, and you can work on the quest cape from there! Looking forward to the next video.

Just found this series, I love it - here are my thoughts on things... and stuff. The free XP in RS3: Runescape is a long game. You've got to grind a lot for it and at the end of the day any XP from lamps and stars you get is fairly small all things considered. Sure, someone can spend infinity dolars to like... cut the time in half, but that's still a lot of time spent. The changed quests: It's so cool to see the quests I did in OSRS which got changed, like Imp Catcher. Just haven't seen them before since I'm on my same account which I transfered to RS#. I prefer RS3 but still think OSRS is good.

You can change the layout of your screen in RS3 if you don’t like the default! I’ve seen people with crazy layouts for different scenarios! You can also try playing as an Ironman if you don’t want any mtx!
