Very important. When you go out and the food is not good. I guarantee you this 10/10 they didn’t wash that meat and was cooking in a nasty kitchen being clean is everything when cooking

One thing that these cooks rarely mention------get a Kitchen-Aid mixer---none of the others seem to have the power and the power adjustment to mix items properly. They're rather pricey but you won't regret the investment.

I’m so glad for this cake recipe! My grandmother used to make this when all the cousins adhered in summer. She passed 50 years ago and no one had her recipe. Many thanks for sharing!

Love how you film a prepped area with PRE-MEASURED ingredients. To the point! Other channels bore us with measuring and skip helpful instructions like "why to cream butter,/sugar a long time". Kudos to your teaching! The density of your cake tells me I could eat the whole thing!!!

It looks delicious. My mother's fabulous pineapple custard ice cream would have been great with that beautiful cake. Wish I had some. How well I remember her instructions on proper creaming of butter and sugar. We had to learn it by hand before graduating to the electric mixer. Excellent cakes became easy for us to make when we were still in elementary school. Mother turned a few of us into gourmet-class home chefs.

Dear OLD School Soul Food: You had my mouth watering when you sliced into that cake, so juicy so moist. Damn I could smell the pineapple flavoring all the way to NYC. Chef, your cake looks delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipe. You gave the measurements for both the cake and icing, which is a plus for me. So many want to be chefs, often post their videos without giving the complete instructions or temperature. However, I usually let my cakes cool a lot longer when using cream cheese in the icing.

I made this cake last night and it is absolutely the best pound cake I have had since my grandmother passed away.. this cake is amazing.. I love how you talk us through the importance of room temperatures and creaming butter and sugar at length.. I've never creamed them that long and you can tell that made a huge difference. I appreciate you so much. My husband and I are huge fans .. I ultimately want to make every one of your recipes. I think next will be that double chocolate cake 🤤🤤🤤
