GM Chef, this is a beautiful restaurant. love the layout and the overall decor of the place. This was a lot of food for one person. The oxtails looked delicious. I was at a Texas restaurant today that had ox tails. I didn’t try them, but they had fantastic fried catfish. I’ve also had their meatloaf and chicken fried steak. Both excellent. If you’re ever in Corsicana, go to Ms. Arlene’s Kountry kitchen. It’s over an hour from my house, but I’ll still do my best to make it back there. Thought of you when I seen ox tails on the menu. It changes out daily. And I’ll remember Esther’s next time I’m in Houston. Everything looked really good.

Chef this happens to be my favorite video that you've posted. I grew up in the apartments that was next door to the Flying Saucer Pie shop and the people working there would give me and my friends the scraps of their pies when walking home from elementary school going home. The Mister Car wash has been there as long as I can remember. I lived on Crosstimbers back when I was 7 years old. BMW Meat Market brings memories as well as my aunt used take me there when I was 5 years old (I was born in 1970), so that tells you how much you've taken me down memory lane. Thanks for sharing! And your right....IMO the apple pie from Flying Saucer is hard to beat!

I LOVE when you share your road trip dining experiences with us!! I had heard about Ester’s but never ventured on that side of town, but I might now. I love a good candied yam and oxtails with a side of greens. I had soul food today for lunch at a new place in Pearland called The Greasy Spoon. It was VERY GOOD, and I love how they prepared their greens. The oxtails were perfectly seasoned and yes they had the fat cap. I hope you’ll come to my side of town (Pearland/Sugarland) area and try some food ❤ I know a lot of people like Mikki’s but it’s way too salty and the quality for me was not there. You will not be disappointed with The Greasy Spoon. Thanks for another GREAT video Chef Jeffrey, you always bring a smile to our faces 😊

Thanks Chef for reminding me about Esther's. I am not that far from there so I will visit. I alway go to B&W and I passed Esther's up 😮 I think because on Saturdays and Sundays that parking lot is always full😂. And I love Flying Saucer they have great Coconut cream pie. I traveled 45 minutes to Mikki's about 2 months ago and to me that have went down. Neither me or my granddaughter liked them so needless to say I won't be back there. But I am looking forward to going to Esther's the food looked really good. Where are the $29.99 meals, I am just saying is it just me with these prices😢. But again that you so much for sharing.

Really enjoyed this road-trip Chef Jeffrey! If I get to Texas, I definitely want to try their soul food! Oh, finally got to Buc’ees ! Went to see my daughter in North Carolina and she drove us to Florence South Carolina, so that I could finally experience Buc’ees! Those brisket sandwiches were phenomenal! Also bought two T-shirts two of the big tall mugs with the beavers on them and some pralines. Because of you, I get to learn about different places that I want to explore. Living the good life.
