Yep - thats about how I remember it. Went to drink beer at the back after Megadeth which was a good idea looking back.

James: “Hey Lars, what happened when they played Anarchy?” Lars: “I joined the fookin’ band… on stage!”

I was there 18 years old. When guns came on it was like an explosion went off it was insane, so loud. Amazing line up that day but a day remembered for other reasons unfortunately..

Yeeeaah I was there!! First gig. 14 years old. No adult accompaniment just me and a school friend coached it down there. Somehow survived the insane crowd surges during Iron Maiden's set and found our way back to the coach at the end of the show and back home. Didn't think much of it back then. The 80's were excellent. As are metal crowds. Great people, great camaraderie and a sense of family.

Was there. I think the sound is not bad given the recording limitations of the time - sound was being blown around here a bit by the wind (which took a screen down in GnR’s set). A shame the end footage misses Axl’s and Large Oilrig’s backing box on ‘Anarchy’ but hey can’t complain. This footage reminds me of a thought I had at the time: Jeff’s guitar is way too high for rock n roll attitude! Other comments about GnR set are spot on - between mixing desk and stage the surges pushed ‘the bounce’ some considerable horizontal distance on a downhill slope: scary moments keeping upright and pulling strangers back up who had gone over. Very sad events during GnR set that only became clear (for most post) concert.

Actually, I was there on this day, and a major Megadeth fan at the time, unfortunately, of all the acts there I felt they had the worst sound, almost unintelligible at the time.....even now 32 and bit years later this is how I remember it. It was not representative of them though, I saw them at the Marquee in London on the rust in peace tour several years later and that my friends was awesome.

Actually not bad considering the technology of the time lol.

You need to take into consideration the technology of that time.
