Nearing the age of 80 and all I’d ever heard him called was either William Bonnie or Billy the Kid… now I learn his real name was Henry Macarty. The reason this is bugging me so is that when I left Oklahoma City to go west and become a cowboy, I bought some cowboying stuff from a little tiny shriveled up old, and I mean old, former cowboy named Henry Macarty…Only coincidence I know because he wasn’t 120 years old and this was in the early 1970’s…but what a strange coincidence…its been said before that “the kid” wasn’t really killed by Garrett but lived to be an old man somewhere….I know it’s crazy
