I enjoyed DL2 overall but the atmosphere wasn't really frightening to be honest. The game also had a very colourful palette which didn't help in that regard. So hopefully this will bring the tone back similar to the first game.

I agree. I LOVE both. But I feel they went for more with the "Surviving and rebuilding the broke world." Vide with 2, and it unfortunately was at the cost of some of the horror. Its still good don't get me wrong, but the game just isn't as scary.

I just hope 2 things comes with this. First they re-release all the event only reward stuff and you can earn them in this and the base game. DL2 is a pretty bad game, I have barely gone back and played it at all since release and have missed nearly every event. Secondly this redeems DL2 and puts the franchise back in its spot as the best zombie game because DL2 really let the franchise down. DL2 is a grind. Everything is about grinding, it is very annoying.

I am not really sure how I feel about beast like abilities, especially regarding parkour 🤔 One of the things I like about parkour in DL is that it remains somewhat « realistic » to a certain extent I mean obviously the characters are godlike, but still, every move and action they do in parkour look like something that a real person who is very well trained could actually do So I hope the parkour will not turn into a super powers fest with super jumps, mid air dashes and stuff

Nobody knows but seeing how they are trying to make this the DL2 the fans really wanted and going from what i have seen gameplay wise as well as there being cars, this looks like it is gonna larger in area than central loop in DL2, larger than the following, but also with more dense environments rather than just open fields like the following. As for NG+, I would expect it to be in there day one. They already said teh story is not very big, like 15-20 hours so NG+ and probably multiple endings will most likely be in it.

I’m sorry, but the only thing that seemed to have changed from DL2 is the map and some additional features. The horrible bot-like gameplay is the same (parkour, combat), goofy zombies are the same and nowhere as scary as DL1. I’m okay with guns but the handling still seems kinda weird like it was in DL1. Anyways after the disaster of DL2, I am hopeless to ever feel the same emotions I felt playing DL1 ever again. I know there were some internal issues during the development of DL2 but still, if DLTB had the same exact morphology of DL1 it wouldn’t even bother me tbh seen how bad DL2 was. I’m ready to debate if you strongly disagree.

I just hope the people who get early access that you're not gonna fuck up the game like you do with other games. If it's too easy who cares if you wanted to be hard make it hard for yourself don't tell a company make it harder and then 80% of the player base just ask for a refund.. That's why a dead island two is so fucking unbalanced new game plus completion rate is below 10%. Yeah I finished it and I personally know why the rate is so slow.
