I was wearing hunting gear that’s super thick and I could feel it bite threw. The snow sounded so weird walking on it. It cracked and popped different then other times it’s got to like 10 degrees with snow.

IKR 🤣 I have a mini Aussie poo and she is unbelievable about how she'll stay out in the cold I put clothes on her I don't care I'm going to put clothes on her because I'm used to having Maltese and she is a little turd She loves to run out there and just be in the cold and I'm constantly going to get back in here 🤣 And I saw someone else said they have a husky that would do the same thing I have a Siberian Husky full bread She's absolutely amazing but she is a total house dog She was raised with my Maltese who were both 15 and 13 before they passed and she came in the last 5 years of their lives and she likes to be covered up with a blanket She wants to be babied and she hates to be out in the cold most of the time but every now and then she'll go out there and lay on the ice that accumulates on the pool cover and it's hilarious I'm like what is wrong with this dog but then she'll come in and want to be blanketed crazy animals. But I do know no matter what breed they do need to be acclimated If you're going to leave one out. You can't just throw a house dog even a husky out in the snow and expect it to survive what a husky that builds a full thick four layer coat can.

Good point. As a construction worker up north the sign of a poorly insulated roof is spots where the snow is melted showing heat loss from living space.
